Mr. Patel is an amazing man. His vision not only for his restaurant but for the whole town of Belleville is nothing short of saintly. Food was out of this world. Would recommend stopping by here if you get the chance.

I have ordered takeout for multiple times from Bayleaf and they have always impressed me with their Biryani. The biryani at Bayleaf is one of the best in Belleville that I have tasted.

So just like my usual order, I ordered Biryani and it was amazing as usual. But this time, we ordered Veg Samosa and Bread Pakoras as well for some guests. The samosas and bread pakoras that we ordered, disappointed us.

The maida in samosa was not cooked properly, it was raw and the bread pakoras were too oily, dripping of oil in every bite. I am attaching the photos for reference.

I would like to appreciate the owner and the entire team of Bayleaf for running the place such beautifully but sometimes mistakes happen and I understand. But at the same time, I also feel bad for my guests that did not have a pleasant experience. That is why I am posting both the positive and negative sides of my experience.

I am writing this review so that such experiences can be avoided.

Hardik, the owner, is often present & interactive & approachable.
I really appreciate server Tanya, she is beautiful, knowledgable, funny & goes out of her way to make your order to your desire!

I called at 10:21 PM to check if we could come in to dine, but the person who answered said the restaurant was already closed. However, Google shows your closing time as 11:00 PM. Management might want to look into this discrepancy — it’s confusing for customers when the listed hours don’t match actual operating hours. If the kitchen or dining area closes earlier, please update the information online so guests know what to expect.

Loved the butter chicken and the service. Staff including managers are welcoming. I visit here frequently, they increased the quantity though. Definable gonna come back.

The food is good, but overpriced. The service is friendly, but so slow. I think they need more help in the kitchen.
I got take out and they forgot the dipping sauce for the samosas. also, maybe just my personal preference, but the raita was runny and salty, couldnt eat it and it was expensive.

I'm not sure what's happened to this place since I first posted a 5* review. Now I find that chicken (both tandoori and in curries, where the sauce may disguise it) is overcooked and dry and the curry sauce is way to thick. So now I've given up on it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The service though I found a little slow was still pleasant overall. The atmosphere was great especially watching this game of tag in India in the television. The food itself was excellent as were the drinks. We would definitely return on our next trip to Belleville. 👍😎

Highly recommend this place. If you’re looking for an authentic delicious Indian food or refreshing drinks this place should be in your list. Beautiful ambience and friendly staff. We were vegetarian and lots of options are there in the menu with amazing taste & fresh.
