Just had such a nice time at Capers.My partner and I split the Brussel Sprout Dish and the Truffle Fries. Also, I enjoyed a local beer and they had a cocktail. All of it was outstanding as was the service! We can’t wait to go back.

It's rare to find a restaurant that compels me to write a review, but Capers deserves every bit of praise.Walking into Capers on such a special night, I was immediately struck by the warm and inviting ambiance that promised an evening to remember. What I didn't anticipate was how the meal would elevate my standards for dining excellence, right here in Belleville.The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Risotto. As someone who has savored this dish across the globe, including Italy's most renowned establishments, I can confidently say Capers' rendition is on par with the best. The flavors were complex, comforting, and utterly delightful, a testament to the remarkable skills of Chef Taylor Knox.Speaking of Chef Knox, his visit to our table added a personal touch that was much appreciated. It's not every day you meet a young, well-educated talent who not only has mastered his craft but also exudes passion for his culinary creations. Learning that Chef Knox honed his skills at Belleville's own Loyalist College made the meal even more special, showcasing the local talent our town has to offer.The service throughout the evening was impeccable, with attentive yet unobtrusive staff ensuring our Valentine's Day dinner was perfect. My wife and I had such a great experience last weekend with friends that we came this Friday for date night. It was amazing both times, and we would highly recommend it. They also had live music, and the atmosphere was amazing. I'd call and make a reservation ?. Give them a try ?!!!!!

Asked for the 10% discount showing our theatre tickets and was told they were not doing that anymore. Had the muscles with grilled bread. Muscles were good but bread came unbuttered. Asked for butter but was told they did not have any up here. How can a restaurant not get you butter.
Did not honour the 10%off for meal as posted.My chicken was dry, the oysters mushrooms were rubbery.The only good thing about my meal was the espresso martini.Our waitress seemed overwhelmed because she was quite slow in checking on us.The wooden seats were very uncomfortable.

We had reservations based on others recommending to go this establishment. Was disappointing to feel like we had to leave.

We reserved a dinner time for 5 people this past Friday evening. As usual, we had a great server, and were seated comfortably by the front window. Our orders were Fish and Shrimp Tacos, Smash Burgers, and Salmon- all excellent! Honestly I don't think I've ever had anything but a great meal here and I really like the vibe in the evenings! There was only one problem, and that was the loudness of the entertainer. No doubt she was a talented girl, but her music was loud enough that we were unable to hear each other other speak, and we really couldn't ask for a table any further away than where we were seated. My advice to this lovely establishment is to encourage their entertainer(s) to tone it down a bit, so it is more like background music. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant as great place to eat, as a couple, or a group!

I arrived, and was greeted by Keisha who was everything AND more! She’s promptly sat me at the bar as I had arrived a bit too early for my reservation. She was very engaging and chatty, asking about my day as if we were the best of friends that had just gone out to a wine bar last weekend! Keisha was very knowledgeable about the food and wine menu, able to give the best recommendations! I later joined with my friends who HAD ACTUALLY made a reservation. Table was at beautifully. Service from Reagan was spectacular! She was very prompt and met our every need! 10/10 recommend for your next girls night if you’re looking for a fun night! However I’d actually make sure you make a reso and not just show up and then walk out for no reason. Anyways, I’ll definitely be back! Thanks again Keisha, Reagan and Claire and team! See ya soon!
