Chilangos Mexican Restaurant

Came here with the family during our stay in Belleville. Food was okay. Nothing great. Nachos seemed like the cheese was reheated onto the chips. It was very hard to pull apart. Birria tacos were hard and consommé tasted bland. Salsas that came with dishes were quite bland as well. Drinks were good at least. Fish tacos were the only great tasting dish.

I was particular shocked and reason why I’m scoring service a 3 (that’s being generous), is that when the server brought the bill, he automatically inputted 20% tip?? I canceled and ask him to re-enter the amount and allowed me to enter my own tip amount. I still gave him 15% tip, which was about $20++. I’ve been to plenty of restaurants in my life and get that good service should be rewarded with a good tip but that should be decided by the customer.

My wife also noticed that he smirked as he walked away with his $20++ tip. I wasn’t in the mood to bring this up to whoever was managing that evening but hope this review is noticed and proper training is given to the staff about this practice.

It’s hard to find a place that hits 5 stars on every category. We had amazing food, our drinks were amazing, and service was excellent. The food is full of flavour and fresh but not overwhelming with sauce or spice. Authentic Mexican flavour and freshness.
We will coming back, we are happy we found this place!!

A delightful surprise right off the highway in Belleville. It looks like a chain restaurant inside a strip mall, but it's not. It's a spacious, wonderful, family-run Mexican treat. Menu offers lots of Mexican options, food, drinks and desserts. Chips and pico de gallo were a yummy starter. The chorizo tacos with hot salsa were delicious! The margarita and chocolate cake were also great! I will be back here the next time I pass by Belleville!

We wanted to find a Mexican restaurant in the area, and the reviews seem to be good....but what a deception. Food was missing flavour, cocktail tasted like premixed not prepared on demand, and was more expensive than expected (additional 3.50$ for guacamole, 3.50$ for pico de gallo, that we were never told the price). I'm sorry but there are more interesting choices in that area....

Loved the ambience , food was ok, ordered tacos and fiesta bowl, chicken in the fiesta bowl was overcooked. The ambience felt like an authentic Mexican restaurant with live music. Cocktails were fantastic.

Veronica is the best waitress I think I've ever had at a restaurant. You guys have a gem with her.

The fajitas (forget what they're actually called!) are fantastic here. Highly recommend the smokey sauce+some hot. Blend em to get desired spiciness.

We come here annually after a beach trip to Sandbanks. Always great food and even better service regardless of when we show up.

My family and I visited Belleville and we ordered takeout from Chilangos. I ordered the baja fish tacos and they were incredible! Usually food like fish tacos don't keep well for takeout but these were fantastic. I would absolutely go back if we're in town again.

We went on a music night and it was amazing. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff made the place come alive with the dancing and getting people involved, the food is top notch and our servers were fabulous and accommodating. Overall an excellent experience for our family and will be back on those Mexican craving days.

This restaurant offers an incredible dining and takeout experience and is a must-stop for anyone who loves authentic Mexican food. The cuisine is completely true to Mexico City, the staff is fantastic, and the restaurant is always so clean. They also host live music sometimes, and it's such a joy to get up and dance when that happens! The owners are pillars of the community, and this place is a true cornerstone of the Bay of Quinte. My family and I enjoy our experience every time we eat here, and I highly recommend anything on the menu because you can truly taste the love and passion they put into their food.
