Frankie's Nashville Hot Chicken

The worst experience I have ever had with a Frankie’s location so far.

I ordered from Uber on 27 March 2025 around 8-8:30pm. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper sandwich combo. The sandwich arrived cold to the touch, not even room temperature, the fries were at least lukewarm, the coleslaw never arrived, there was NO sauce on the sandwich, no jalapeños, just cold tenders and a single slice of, not even melted, American cheese. I am disgusted and I don’t even know if it’s safe to eat the cold chicken sandwich. I am appalled by the quality I have recieved and I will never be ordering from this location again.

Frankie's Chicken in Ottawa usually offers pretty decent food. The service is terrible and they bait people into BOGO (buy one get one free) deals that they do not honor. Today they have a BOGO banner on their ubereats profile but there is no offer. And I ordered the BOGO last week and they cancelled it without notice after making me wait an hour and inconveniencing the uber driver. That's B.S.

They forgot my Frankie's Signature dips and the chicken was burnt black in spots. Seriously like charcoal. On top of that it was soggy with oil. The curly fries were soggy and under cooked as well. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I was also supposed to get some slaw with my meal - that didn't show up either.

A shame, because I like the food from this chain; this location just has a complete lack of quality control.

The chicken strips and curly fries were excellent the first time I ordered them. The second not so much.. I waited a few months and decided to give it another shot.. it was horrible the quality of the food went down hill almost as if I ordered from the wrong place. Highly recommend you don't waste your money on this nashville chicken.

UPDATE! After I received my food it was clear that they forgot it on the shelf for awhile, my food was cold and my drinks were hot.If you plan to order from Skip the Dishes expect delays from this place, I ordered lunch at 11:57PM... they bumped my order at 12:10 and said they were running late, 1hr 20 mins later my food is finally with the Skip driver and on-route. If they can't cover the order in a somewhat efficient manor then they should reject it so we can go elsewhere.

The first two times I had Frankie's Hot Chicken I enjoyed it and highly recommended it however may last two orders have shown that things are going downhill. One of the biggest issues is the lack of Nashville style sauce on the chicken. The first couple times the chicken was completely covered in sauce but the last order there was just a bit of sauce applied to the chicken before the bun was put on leaving 80% of the chicken without sauce and nothing more than a chicken tender sandwich. When the manger at Lone Star responded to my critique she said the sauce was applied per specifications and tried to blame lack of quality on 3rd party delivery services. The chicken that arrives in your order will definitely not match the pictures from Frankie's social media pages or website. Come on Lone Star you can do better!

When I want a spicy hot chicken sandwich, I will go for the hottest offered. Tonight I ordered 2 sandwiches for my wife and I. One mild and one Hot AF. I WANTED SPICY. when the meal arrived the boxes were not identified with which one was hot and mild. NP. She wasn’t saying hers was too hot so I think we got it right. Or did we? Let me first say the food was amazing. I have no issues with the taste and quality of the food. I am happy with my meal. However my wife couldn’t eat all hers so she left me half her sandwich. As I am eating mine I find the heat (hot af) was an average heat and nothing to get excited about. When I was done with my sandwich I continued to finish hers. This is where I found it was exactly the same. No difference. So I’m not sure if we got both as mild or both as hot af. I’m a bit disappointed if they were hot af because I found the heat level very minimal and nothing to get excited about. Franks hot sauce heat if you know what I mean. Not hot at all. I’m guessing they were mild. This is why I rated 3/5. The food and curly fries were amazing and I would enjoy again. Just not fully satisfied with the heat. I’ve had better in that category.

first time I ordered, I think i ordered either mild or hot, and was like "it's ok" but boy let me tell you, I ordered the hot af level of heat yesterday...the burn sensational, but today I'm hurting on my toilet😂 don't reccomend if your stomach can't handle super spicy stuff, but would order again a few small food critiques my chicken, was a little dry and lacking a crunch would suggest doing something about that, the slaw doesn't really taste like anything I get very little hint of the dill in it, for it being named "dill with it" and should imo have a larger portion size for the 20$ price tag in the combo, or at least include the drink

Not one to usually do this, however, it has to be done. Ordered Door dash to try this place out. So the cold food was to be expected. First, I didn’t receive the pickled Slaw with the combo. $32 Order. Do Not let the pictures fool you. The fries were old and stale. Not even fries, little fry bits. Almost to the point where they literally didn’t care. Chicken sandwich subpar at best. Bun was soggy, def not toasted. Definitely not made fresh to order. I understand prep, but this was almost like it was done last night or early this morning. Regardless, doesn’t seem to be any standards. Could have been just an employee not caring. I don’t know. But unacceptable for a $32 door dash order for one Sandwich, stale fry bits and no slaw salad or whatever that was supposed to come with it.

Ordered with SkipTheDishes and it arrived missing items. Skip support has been unable to reach the restaurant to resolve the issue for two days now.

Meh. It's just chicken nuggets.

This place needs new management or staff.. the experience we had the other night was laughable but extremely frustrating. Ordered online, a fair amount. Pick up order and get home to find out they didn't give us our dips.. we had paid for 4, or our sandwich. Called them and they wanted to give us an extra side or a gift card for an amount they couldn't tell us.. which wouldn't be done until Wednesday. They eventually agreed to make us the entire order again as we had to drive back and the food we had already would've been cold. They confirm 20 mins and it will be ready. Arrived, barely acknowledged in the restaurant. Took close to 45 mins. Get home, thinking there is no way they could mess up again as we went through the order more than once with management on the phone. This time, we had two sandwiches and the wrong dips. We were appreciative for the fresh order but holy cow... This is insane. Spent way to much time and money to feel like it was worth it. Definitely will be avoiding this place and telling others to do the same.

This was an awful meal, chicken was soggy and had a bad taste. Overall very small portions. Texas toast was just sad and extremely burnt.

Best chicken in Belleville! Their Frankie Signature dip is soooo good. Love the dill pickle slaw! & curly fries are always delicious! I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. If you’re craving tasty chicken, go to Frankie.

Sent me someone else's order. Then were unreachable for a refund on the phone. At least the Barrhaven location doesn't seem to care about the food they make or their customers.
