Paulo's Italian Trattoria

Our server was wonderful... The atmosphere of the building, and cleanliness was lovely. My partner and I went to Paulos for Valentine's Day. He booked a reservation well in advance.

He had the seafood pasta dish with the shrimp and arctic char. He said it was tasty. I had the rigatoni. It tasted no better than something we could have at a chain restaurant. I ordered it thinking it would be a whole new fresh taste.

I'm also wondering for the price of food ordered, why are place settings completed with stained dishes, paper disposable napkins and cheap utensils. I always thought Paulos was an upscale restaurant in Belleville. I guess I expected more.

It's no control that the restaurant would have but I was also surprised at people wearing plaid coats you'd wear for beers by a fire, ripped jeans, baseball hats etc. just seemed odd.

It was slow week day and after lunch hours so it was super empty. Good was just OK. Service was slow but polite.

Paulo's and Dinkel's have been staples in the Quinte region for decades when it comes to fine dining and upscale cuisine. Paul and his staff have always achieved a high standard for great tasting food and exceptional service.

I love this place. We have been several times and no matter what we order it always exceeds our expectations. The food is delicious. The service is attentive but not overly. Just always a perfect evening out in every way.

There's excellence in the cuisine here. The place serves good Italian style dishes and makes a great cup of coffee. A must try spot for family gatherings, dates or even a quick drop-in for a coffee for the upper class. The cost is well worth the trip. I had the Salmon and it was well worth the money. The server was friendly and the chef cooked the meal properly. An elegant place to come and eat.

Caesar salad was poor quality and not authentic. Croutons were stale, dressing was mostly mayonnaise. No garlic or anchovy in dressing. parm cheese was prepackaged not fresh shaved. I had chicken on my salad that was over cooked and dry to the point of being hard. The raspberry gelato was very good. Service was excellent.

Our first visit to Paulo's & Dinkel's was 10/10. Wonderful ambience, excellent service and fantastic food. We will definitely be back!
