Coffee: great, cookie: god-tier, craft beer selection that I didn’t buy because my wife said it’s too early: looked awesome. I didn’t get any bread because I’m a moron. Enjoy this spot! Just wish there was some seating to hang out!

I come here weekly! Love the staff, love the atmosphere, amazing products made with love. The cookies are the hug you didn’t know you needed.

Thank you for working so hard! Your efforts are displayed in the loyal clients and quality product. Never will I complain about a line, worth the wait and I enjoy watching a fellow small business be such a success!

Great job you guys!

I love this Bakery & Cafe. All of the baked goods and bread are delicious! As with most bakeries of this calibre, it would be silly to show up late, as they sell out quickly- that's how you know you're getting nothing but the best and it will be FRESH! To top it off, the staff are incredible. It's not just a transaction at Small Scale. They very clearly love what they do, and it shows in every facet.

Keep up the great work, team!

As an out of town coffee snob who has hundreds of cafes at home, this is hands down one of the best cortados(proper size and texture. So velvety and rich and aromatic) I’ve ever had. The banana bread was absolutely UNREAL as well. Vegan blondie also dynamite.

I love Small Scale! The baked goods are made fresh daily is a true testament to the fact that the items are in fact small scale and not mass produced. The staff is always helpful and happy no matter how busy the store is. Small scale is worth ever dollar.

The food is so good, it is worth waiting in the cold, rain, snow or sleet over. You know if you want the freshest bread you will be there lined up when those doors open!

In the summer it was so wonderful with the Bay doors open, the street smelled like fresh baked bread and treats!

Fantastic bakes and probably the only good coffee my husband could find on our whole trip.

Also nice coincidence one of the workers had lived in a similar part of London to us at one point 😅 Small world!

Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best bakery in Quinte! Thankfully I no longer need to travel to Kingston for a good loaf of bread. Focaccia sandwiches are great, and of course all the baked sweet treats are delicious. The team serving you are attentive and friendly.

This is one of my favourite spots in town to grab a little treat. Their chocolate chip cookies are unreal with the flakey salt and gooey chocolate chunks. The flat bread pizzas, muffins, cheddar & chive scones are also amazing! My son and I love the sourdough sandwich loaf, it’s very thick and fluffy. The shop itself has some very cool and unique products for sale, which would be great if you’re looking for a good gift. They also tend to sell bouquets from a local flower farm, which are beautiful. There isn’t much space to sit and eat, so keep that in mind when visiting. The staff are always courteous and friendly. It is a little pricy, but 100% worth the cost. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for fresh baked goods. Just be sure to get there early, as things sell out fast!
