If you’re a fish and chip snob, this is THE place. Boathouse is the standard fish n chips place of Belleville, on the water, great vibe, seating and service. HOWEVERRRR if you want the best fish you’ve had in a long time, get a plate of halibut and chips at this spot. I was in shock and can’t wait to go back. It was perfectly battered, thin enough to showcase the fish, thick enough to get a good crunch. It stayed in place, it didn’t have that partially cooked part in between the fish and outside. The chips were actual chips, flat, thick, soft, crispy. Absolutely delightful. Washed it down with a coke and paid about $25. Service was lovely and genuine.

Amazing little place to go for some good fish and chips or a really good burger. The people are extremely friendly here and welcoming. The food served was hot. And done right. The portions other than the one recommendation I would have were quite good. Enough to call it a good complete meal.
My only tiny recommendation for them if they read this, coleslaw is cheap. You don't have to be skimpy on it considering all the other portions were appropriately sized.
Other than that. I highly highly recommend this place for both fish and chips and burgers.
