We love The Local. I am originally from the GTA area and am a huge foodie, and this spot is still one of my all time faves. We have come here 4 times, and the last 3 times we both order the burger. I literally, have not ever had a burger that good. Dare I say it is better than Five Guys. We LOVE it. Servers are knowledgeable and kind, letting me try different white wines so that I know what I want to order. We love coming here and will keep coming back!

If you stop by, say yes to pausing here. We had a lovely evening on our wedding🎊 anniversary today. Our spot was a great view of Moira River. We spotted local fish and turtles in the almost still water. The background music was supportive of an enjoyable time together surrounded by kind humans. Brett helped us make choices we loved and he even made something surprising after I asked to have a cocktail that can give me a particular vibe. The drinks and food touched various senses in fun ways. At the end the Sticky Toffee Pudding was unknowingly the best choice to warm us up and bring more joy of living.😊✨️ And we got to have some fun chatting with the staff in between orders.

The view was perfect. I came with a friend, we decided to pick this spot for its view and old familiarity.
There was a friendly host guiding us to our table, some jokes and very few patrons at the moment we arrived, in-between seating times of day, so we had our choice of inside and out, and the majority of seats. We opted for one right above the water on the patio, facing south. Turtles on the rocks in the middle of the river were fun to watch.
We had some drinks, as that was all we came for, but in the last possible moment before departing, I opted to try something on the menu, and tried the truffle fries.
EXCELLENT. If you go for nothing other than a simple bite, the fries are worth going just for those. I will be back!

One of the worst meals I have ever had. The falafel was ok but it came with grilled vegetables. Grilled cucumber! The rice had no flavour and they offer no salt or pepper. Very disappointing considering how expensive it was.
Been to this restaurant for the first time however very disappointed. We have to wait for the food almost 30 to 40 mins, crazy wait times, when i showed my concern one of the server she was new in this restaurant ,nice lady said dessert on us. Food finally came in thankfully and it was tasted very well. Dessert was good too. after all this, bill came in ,i was sitting outside in the patio where it was dark and never had my glasses on me, I trusted the restaurant and paid the bill of 220.18 ,came back home after a drive of 1 and a half hour and looked at the bill the next day , The restaurant charged me 1 extra beer glass and 1 extra wine so apparently they charged me for my dessert that way. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER, i live quiet far away from the restaurant so its not like i can go and complain but i would say pls chk your bills before you leave. Perhaps you need to keep honest ppl in the front or the staff who know what they are doing.
