I visited the Pier Patio Bar recently and had a very disappointing experience. The fries were not fresh, the fish was very oily, and when I asked for a straw and took one, the older lady with long hair took it right out of my hand and was very rude. She didn’t apologize afterward, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
I also felt that the older lady was prejudiced in the way she treated me, which was very upsetting. This kind of service makes me feel like I should avoid this place altogether. It was truly the worst service I’ve ever experienced.
Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Tasty eats. Solid selection of local beer. Ask for Meyers Creek!

Go with realistic expectations and you'll have a good time. The food is OK, just keep it simple. We shared a Quesadilla and a large onion ring with a couple of drinks. Based on other reviews, I thought keep it simple. The quesadilla and onion rings were very good, the fries average. It was good value given the reasonable prices and food The atmosphere at sunset was great. Service was good as well.

Good food, drinks, service and atmosphere. It is situated at the end of a marina pier. The car access is blocked so you have a short walk on the pier to the Bar and Grill.

The Pier Patio Bar and Grill has an awesome location right by the water, which makes it a nice spot to sit and enjoy the view. That said, the experience itself was just okay—nothing really stood out. For the price of the drinks, hope they wouldn’t be served in plastic cups, especially being right beside the water (not the most environmentally friendly). It would also help if the servers wore uniforms Don't get me wrong we had a great service.

Horrible place! Maniac in the kitchen screaming at the wait staff. Drinks & food over rated and over priced.
Ordered one drink and cancelled our food order. Couldn’t wait to get out of there.
DON’T WASTE YIUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!

I was expecting alot more from this place. Fish and chips: fish was very bland, the tartar sauce could not help it. Baja Fish Tacos: 🌮 despite all the toppings, it was still missing a certain kick to make it wow 😕
Chips and salsa: too much chips and not enough salsa. Service seemed a bit slow but overall friendly staff. Atmosphere is great, right by the waterfront, the live music adds to it.

Was brought the wrong beer and incorrect food. Rather than tell me they don't have wheat beer they brought me an IPA and told me that it is a wheat beer the beer label was wrong??? It was definitely an IPA and he tried to gaslight me. We waited more than half an hour for nacho fries and they brought us undercooked cold fries with gravy and again tried to gaslight us that it was cheese when it was poutine gravy. We had these fries a week ago and they were supposed to have cheese sauce. We had wanted to order deep fried pickles but thankfully they didn't check in on us for so long that we lost interest.

I wish I was giving 5 star as I was so excited for the fish tacos BUT unfortunately the soft taco was so soggy, the slaw juice just slimed the taco with having the juicy slaw on the bottom. The fish was super crispy which was excellent and the fries I asked for extra crispy was excellent. Just super disappointed how soggy the taco was, it made it very difficult to eat as well. Just a heads up for anyone ordering the fish tacos.

I’ve worked in the service industry for years, so I completely understand that busy days happen, staffing can be short, and things don’t always go perfectly or as planned. That said, this experience was beyond anything I’ve encountered.
From the moment we arrived, we felt completely unwelcome. Our server seemed visibly unhappy and frustrated. There was no greeting, I asked if we should wait to be seated and she said “nope” then once we were seated just a quick “It may be a while, I’m the only one serving” before walking away. While I empathize and understand being short staffed, the patio wasn’t overly busy — maybe 6 or 7 tables, many with only two people.
There were a couple of staff on the floor, possibly one being a bartender, but they were openly bickering in front of guests. We saw two tables get seated, ask for service, and then leave shortly after — I don’t think they were met with a friendly attitude either.
To top it off, we overheard complaining about customers, which is not something anyone wants to hear, especially when trying to enjoy a family meal out.
The view and atmosphere are beautiful, and the location has great potential — but the service really ruined the experience. Hopefully this was just an off day but it definitely left a sour taste.
