“Never been to Belwood or the restaurant before, we were on a day trip from Toronto. Pretty village nice atmosphere great countryside. Was surprised to see the negative reviews. We didn’t know about the new owners so I’m writing this without any prior knowledge.We ordered the club sandwich and grilled cheese with fries. Astounded about how good the food was. Truly delicious. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Dunno what the fuss is all about as would def recommend.”

“Friday night about 6. We were seated quickly. Service was quick and friendly. Ordered the haddock and chips, sea food chowder, lobster poutine, and the burger battle burger.....everything was very good and large portions. For dessert we had the carrot cheese cake.”

And the staff recommendation for an iced matcha latte was the perfect accompaniment. Cool & beautiful interior; there is even an old vault with cosy seating. All in the great setting of beautiful downtown Fergus. The perfect stop on a summer road trip.”
