Had a fantastic experience at Mercato Bakery. The food from Chef D’s hot table was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There was a great selection of hot meals and everything tasted homemade and high quality.
The service was just as impressive. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. You can really tell they care about both the food and their customers.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for amazing prepared food, baked goods, and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be back!

Was day-tripping today and stumbled upon a bakery called Mercato. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with an authentic Italian vibe that instantly makes you feel at home.
Of course, I made my way straight to the hot table, where Chef D had prepared an incredible selection. Lisa plated the most amazing chicken and vegetable dish — it looked incredible, smelled even better, and tasted absolutely phenomenal.
Mercato and Chef D are truly a hidden goldmine. Can’t wait to go back!

Came across this place just looking for something to eat. Got the prosciutto sandwich with fior de latte and it was so fresh tasting and simple. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I also got the gelato which was amazing and great priced. My boyfriend got the chicken cutlet and was blown away. We would drive 50minutes away just to come back. Can’t say better things about this place.

truly went above and beyond with her service. Even though it’s more of a grab-and-go setup where you typically order at the counter and take your food to your table, she insisted on bringing everything out to us herself. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so well taken care of.
Her positive energy and willingness to help really stood out—she didn’t have to do what she did, but she made the extra effort anyway. It made our visit that much more enjoyable. On top of that, the food was amazing. Highly recommend stopping by, and if you get Lisa, you’re in great hands!

Mercato is a nice bakery in the heart of Bolton. The pastries, cakes and bread are excellent, although expensive. The Italian food is mediocre, they should get someone who can cook more authentic Italian food,( sauce). Overall recommend, because of the pastries and bread, but the food is just really mediocre.

Used to love this place. Now it’s crazy expensive and just not the same taste anymore, pistachio pastry has nasty oil aftertaste and no flavor, moose is cold and tasteless, chocolate pastry is dry, falling apart and overloaded with sugar. Sorry not worth the money at all (anymore).

I have been to Mercato for years now, I called in looking to see what cake they had on displays. The lovely lady asked me what exactly I was looking for and was able to ask the baker to make me a cake the same day. I was so happy to hear this because no one else’s quality is better! The cake was SO AMAZING and delicious and the customer service is always the best. Thank you for caring and I will be back to order my cakes here for every occasion. I don’t live in Bolton but I do drive 40 minutes to buy their cakes. 10/10 love you guys

I moved to Bolton in 2001, and left in 2026. One of my biggest regrets was that my first time visiting this store was the day i moved out. This is a gem in Bolton and had I ever bothered to step in one of the thousand times I passed it you can bet I would have been a regular customer. The coffee is amazing, the treats are amazing, the food is amazing, everything is priced reasonable.
