Amazing looking shop in small town of Bolton. Hidden gem for sure! Loved the peppermint mocha I got. The Italian barista girl was friendly. Would definitely want to try the hot foods & baked goods soon!

First off the staff is amazing. But I ordered a party size pizza and I was not satisfied at all . Lacking cheese and sauce. It was like pepperoni and dough . Tbh I will not be returning due to the pizza . I am sorry for my review but I feel like I wasted my money .

What a great Thanksgiving feast that Mercato provided for us this year! Everything was just perfect and succulent, thank you so much for adding to our celebration! We will order from Mercato again… and the pumpkin pie!!! No word for it, the best it rivalled my own… just joking!

We had an amazing experience working with Dorella at Mercato’s for our wedding cake. From the very start, the planning process was seamless, and Dorella was attentive to every detail. The cake itself was absolutely incredible—both in taste and presentation. The delivery service was punctual and professional, and the final product was beautifully crafted. We couldn’t have been happier with the outcome and highly recommend Dorella for any special occasion!

Always support small merchants but purchased 2 different pastries at Mercado .. served them and both tasted mouldy & refrigerator stale. Jam thumbprints and an almond ball. Called to tell owner.. girl was rude & hung up so… a review so owner knows. 12 small cookies coat me $19.00 . Photo attached of uneaten stale pastries. Also purchased 2 tubs of gelato. Wanted 1 but they did not have any containers ? so gave me 2 small ones. The tubs they are using are styrofoam. The lid sticks to the gelato and will not come off….they shatter making the ice cream now susceptible to freezer burn. After searching for a container at home… I had to ‘defrost’ the other tub before the lid could be peeled off. Don’t know about you but I like my gelato ‘FROZEN COLD’ not half melted. I have shopped at Mercado for years. Got out of habit as they were closed for renos. Sad to say… everything has slipped. ? BTW 30$ for the gelato. Big price to pay with a lousy container. But on a good note the gelato is very good. ?

Just had a terrible experience at Mercato. Ordered a pizza slice. It was cold and stale. For a place that calls itself a "Fine Foods" venue, I'd compare it to a run down high school cafeteria. Do not spend a dollar here.

I usually do not post negative reviews as i am myself a business owner . but the experience i had on Tuesday 20th august at 4 pm literally left me in deep anguish.
i like italian food and deserts so i came here with my two kids , while they were deciding on which desert they want i casually asked the lady at the counter if any of these has alcohol or coffee in it as kids are 3 yr old and i wanted to be sure. P.S i know some
authentic deserts like tiramisu might have coffee and alcohol in it.
this lady started giggling and making fun of us and the cake i ordered she kept it away and upon my asking she was very rude . i have met the owner as well in past when i came to buy some cheese and he helped me, he is a very pleasant man.
For sure i would never step in this store ever and would never recommend. there are plenty of good italian bakery around . this place just lost atleast one life long customer for sure .

Used to get cakes from here. Staff changes the price of the cakes based on their mood. One day its 40 buks the next day its 60 and the day after its 40 again. Unable to articulate why the price fluctuates. And the employee rudely answered when questioned about these fluctuating prices. No questions about the quality of the cakes. they are really good.

Was going to the restaurant next door, and when it was 15 minutes late in opening, we decided to go to Mercato instead. Great selection in prepared hot table food; incredibly clean; great service and half the cost of what it would have been at the restaurant. Service was so very kind and efficient. Selection of pastries, fresh baked bread, and Italian goods, impressive. They've been in Bolton for some time and believe they will maintain their position as being a go-to bakery for years to come.
