Went in the evening with my family today and a Canadian Guest. The food was not good. The Food portions were small.
The Coke from the fountain was mostly water. The Masala Tea was not like Indian Masala Tea. Mango Lassi tasted like Mango Puree ( the ratio of mango puree and yogurt was messed up). Did not feel like ordering Dessert. Facilities: The Men's Washroom had no hand towels. I used it around 5:30pm and then again at the time of leaving both times no hand Towles. My family also used Ladies washroom. They were able to find Toilet Paper in the third booth. Really not expected from A so called big name restaurant. The service staff seems to have no hospitality training. Overall will never go again.

Food taste was good but the management turned off the heater in snowy temperature at closing time due to which food got cold and hard to chew. We were almost shivering and asked them twice to turn on the heat. In reciprocation, they offered 2 piece complementary gulab Jamuna for a group of 8 people.

Biriyani was not at all biriyani. It was something I would not even make in my kitchen when upset. Everything else we ordered was good like Malai kofta, Naan, and Momos.
I have been a loyal customer of Urban Maharaja for the past 1.5 years and have celebrated numerous occasions here, including get-togethers, birthdays, and even my anniversary. I always admired the ambiance, service, and food quality, which made it my go-to spot for special events.
However, my recent experience celebrating my wife’s birthday was nothing short of disappointing. The service was far below the usual standard I’ve come to expect. The portion sizes were smaller than usual, and the waiting time was excessively long—we waited a full 40 minutes just to get served. When I requested a song change to add to the celebratory mood, it was outright rejected.
To make matters worse, there seemed to be chaos in the kitchen as I overheard loud shouting, which made the environment quite uncomfortable. For the first time, I found myself questioning the value for money. With subpar service, reduced food quality, and smaller portions, the prices now feel unjustifiable.
Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion about Urban Maharaja. Thank you for the memories, but I won’t be returning again.

We had our sports club party at the Bolton location second time in 3 years last Saturday evening. The food and service were fantastic. The ambience of the location is incredible. Kudos to Bavleen and her teammates

Went to this restaurant on Sunday noon for lunch and it was very quiet with only 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. This restaurant used to be Boston Pizza so conversation to Indian restaurant with a nice ambiance was great. The chicken tikka masala and aalu tikki were really good but kadhai paneer was somewhat disappointing. We only ordered 3 dishes so can’t really comment on overall taste but based on other reviews people seem to like it. Service was good and can be improved specially when it wasn’t busy at all. Food preparation took time. Beer was served in bottle and had to ask for the glasses. Knife wasn’t provided so had to ask for that as well. Overall, service experience was average but hoping it was one of the rough days.
