We went for dinner with friends before Labour Day. We started with Pico de Gallo and some crispy crickets (yep, surprisingly yummy). We sampled Chicken tacos, veggie burritos and birria de rez tacos. All were completely delicious and quite authentic. The Birria de Rez Tacos were standouts for me. Deep rich flavour and thoughtfully spiced. I have been coming here for years and always enjoyed the food and margaritas. Unfortunately this year the price of a margarita has gone up, which would be fine if they also didn't cut the alcohol in it. I used to go home with a little smile on after one and now I can have two, and I asked the waitress if the first even had alcohol in it. Disappointing for a $17 drink. Other locals who joined me for dinner also said the same
The very first night we stayed at our new home in Bracebridge my husband and I got take out from El Pueblito. It was seriously good food and big portions. We've been raving about it to our out of town visitors ever since.
