Re: Muskoka maple butter tarts from LongosI really wanted to like these. However, the filling is incredibly salty. I’m not sure if it’s a mistake in the batch but they are more salty than sweet which is odd for a maple butter tart. The pastry was ok for a butter tart (sort of like frozen tender flake shells) but doesn’t look homemade like the ones on their website.

Re: Muskoka Maple butter tartI was so excited to see these tarts at my local Foodland. I was hesitant to spend the $12.49 for 6 tarts, but I figured my 19 year old son was worth it. I don't think I have had a worse butter tart, and I am a connoisseur. The crust was hard and brittle, and the filling is so strong and unpleasant, not at all sweet, just bitter, nasty, I couldn't even finish mine. My son choked down one and the rest sit there untouched. They also looked Nothing like any of the lovely tarts that are shown on the website.

The absolute BEST gluten free products. Love the bagels and pasta. Not to mention, the best customer satisfaction and service. This company is truly a gem and I would recommend them again and again.

I just received my order from Beat the Wheat which came very quickly. Of course I had to dive right into the cinnamon buns. Beyond amazing. I heated one up and it was beautiful and soft and absolutely delicious the way normal cinnamon buns used to be. The bagels and buns are huge and I am beyond impressed. If you have never tried this place you must.

Being celiac for more than 10 years now, butter tarts were always something I have missed. Let’s just say, your tarts are awesome!!! Every time I buy them I eat them all up too fast or my kids get into them. Soo darn good! Still hoping for a trip to Bracebridge to check out all your goods soon!

I have now made 2 online orders and have been really pleased with both. My second order was placed yesterday afternoon. I received notice this morning that the order was complete and already shipped. That was already surprising but the order arrived at my home a couple of hours later! So the entire transaction took less than 24 hours. That would be amazing any time but especially in these days of supply chain issues, covid issues, etc., this is beyond amazing! I should also mention that the products are wonderful and it is hard to believe they are gluten free. I will certainly be ordering again.

I just bought your gluten free Muskoka Maple and Raisin butter tarts at our local Sobeys and they have Changed. My. Life. I never thought I'd find a good buttertart again!!I'm so excited to visit your actual location once covid is over!

Stephanie went above and beyond to get me my order after I accidentally put it as a curb side pick up when I live so far away will definitely order again!

Maybe they had an off day but walked in, no one else was there, the two ladies behind the counter didnt acknowledge or say hi. It seemed as if they were too busy on their cellphones.I tried to engage to grab some buttertarts but they were again standoffish, unpleasant and seemingly bored. Got great service in all other shops on the mainstreet and was stunned by this lack of caring.

Meh.Stopped in today after having the restaurant recommended by a friend of the owner. I tend to eat vegan so I ordered the Pesto Gnocchi. At $25 dollars with a small tip included this is tough to recommend. A little shocked at the price. The sauce was tasty but the serving was tiny, and seriously lacking value. There was maaybe 4-5 table spoons of pasta in the takeout box. : If they had a lunch special that was $8-10 dollars I would imagine it would be lined up here.

I was disappointed. Ordered the chicken Parmesan and double smoked bacon Mac n’ cheese. Neither meal had much flavour and the chicken had a raw egg taste. There wasn’t a lot of bacon. Also felt it was overpriced.

whoever decided to put a brownie in the butter tart is a genious!!! and the maple butter tart was fantastic too!
