Ann’s Grove Restaurant

I've lived in Brampton nearly 50 years and only recently discovered this restaurant.There are NO good Guyanese restaurants in Brampton, NONE , there I said it !My husband and I have patronized literally every Guyanese and Guyanese Chinese restaurants in Brampton and they are all SUBSTANDARD.It was always frustrating that in order to enjoy a real authentic Guyanese meal , we had to drive all the way to Scarborough.Unfortunately, being that I was raised in Canada, my Guyanese cooking skills arenon existent, NADA !Entering Ann's Grove felt and smelled like I was entering my aunt's kichen back home .All of my senses were transported back to that kitchen and I had a huntch we were going have an experience.Ann and her husband welcomed us like we were family .We ordered duck curry, chicken curry , dahl and rice .As Ann prepared our order , she and her husband chatted with us and shared many stories of Ann's beloved late father, Guyana and their kids.This woman understands hospitality like no other and treated us to themost delicious complimentary fish cakes with mango sour as we waited , who does that ?Prior to our meal arriving at our table , a beautiful green salad was placed on our table and my husband and I looked at each other in disbelief because we didn't order salad, however this was another appetizer before our main course.The salad was fresh , crisp and very refreshing.Our main courses arrived and from the first taste of my duck curry mixed in with the dahl and rice, I was blown away.My husband's head was faced down in his plate of curry chicken the entire meal and he never came up for air until he was finished.To describe how flavorful and well seasoned our meals were would never do it justice, you would have to go and immerse yourself in the experience .Normally , I would conclude a restaurant review by saying"Go and check this place out"Not this time.Here's the address :107 Wilkinson Road, Brampton ,Unit #1Hurry yuh rass and check dem out !!!!

This place is incredibly amazing!! I’ve tried the bunjal chicken curry, Goat Curry and Gillbaka Curry and it was all very delicious! Brings back the real TASTE OF GUYANA ??? I highly recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for some excellent food with high quality service ????

The place is a lil cramped, but they're very friendly and courteous. I ordered a boneless goat roti, and other than it having bones I was happy with the purchase.

Kid-friendliness: I visited with my daughter, and they were very friendly towards her. They even offered her chocolate, and made her feel comfortable.

Love the smiles you receive when entering this restaurant. The food is great, prices are good. Definitely my favourite roti place and will continue to return.

Awesome mom and pop shop with the best j*** chicken in Brampton! The chicken is so juicy and delicious. So glad that they’re still here after the pandemic. Go support, run don’t walk!

Ordered a tray of Chicken Curry for a get together and the response from everyone was absolutely fantastic ! The owner is a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. Oh and the food was ready and waiting for me at the specified time ... what more could you ask for ??

Best goat curry in the town and also the j*** chicken is so good. Ann is a really good cook ?

I frequent Ann's Grove once or twice a week. She always has a good variety of options and everything is very tasty. She truly puts pride in her cooking and it comes through in every dish. Next to mom's home cooked food, Anne is my choice.

I don’t know why I didn’t google j*** chicken places near my work until today but I’m glad I finally did…first time customer today, tried the j*** chicken rice and peas with oxtail gravy and coleslaw…it was fantastic, perfect amount of spice that was much needed today - thank you!
