I am so disappointed with the rudeness I faced. My mother in law is in the hospital so I quickly stopped to grab porridge for her at around 10. Fair enough, they just opened so I actually expected that I would have to wait for my food before even entering the store. As soon as I walk in, I greeted the staff with a good morning all for the woman to respond with " nothing is ready" barely a hello. If you guys open at 10 then you should atleast have your breakfast items available. Also if the food is not ready, all it takes is you politely saying it might be a bit of a wait but what were you thinking to order? Even after I said okay that's no problem I'm just wondering what kind of porridge you guys offer. The girl responds with "nothing is ready " for a second time. I was willing to wait but after she repeated that statement for a third time, I just said no problem and got in my car. You just lost business all because of your attitude. If any of you want better customer service go to Shelly's Kitchen off Williams Parkway and Chrysler! Much more polite and my mother in law loved her porridge from there. Gem's Jerk, you guys need to train your staff on how to speak to customers. Won't be returning.

This was my first time coming to the restaurant. Sadly likely will be my last.I came in and the lady at the front never acknowledge me. She looked upset or irritate not sure why. I ended up placing an order once I decided. I ordered a large jerk chicken, large Oxtail, and a patty. The lady brought my food and was put in a bag. I went to my car to enjoy my meal.When I checked the food. I noticed the lady at the front forgot to put my patty I had ordered. So I went back into the restaurant to let her know the patty was missing. The lady brought the patty. I left with my patty and the lady started yelling at me to come back to pay. I told her I had already paid when I ordered everything. I showed a receipt. The lady got into it with me saying she doesn’t remember me and kept insisting I must pay. I told her I should not need to pay for the patty again since I already paid for it. The lady got very upset and than the lady said just go and get out of here.I really don’t get it. just 5 mins before I placed my order, how do you forget or not know somebody who placed an order?The lady at the front was very upset I guess because she’s having a bad day. No need to display it to your customers.My experience here was terrible. I expect a great experience when going anywhere. The experience here has me not wanting to come back again.You can respond back if you would like and we can discuss it further. If not it’s okay. Doesn’t seem like anyone at your restaurant looks at these bad reviews.

Visited this restaurant after viewing it online n it looked nice…. I can truly say it was far from pleasant. The service was poor - she acted like you were irritating her .. not even a hint of a smile..Asked for pepper sauce/ hot sauce- reply-“no, don’t have any” asked if she had a scotch bonnet in the kitchen she could cut up n put in the container… she smirked n brought back a FROZEN PEPPER n put in on the counter..All this n the food was cold..Never Again

Terrible service and quality of food has changed. I need to find another spot.I called 1 hour before picking up to order jerk chicken and rice - lady took my order in an unfriendly tone and hung up as I was talking. Didn't care to take my name or number.Drove 30 mins just get there for the same lady to tell me there's no jerk chicken (not even looking at me, fidgeting with a remote and tv). Didn't seem to care at all.

This use to be the spot. Trust me. But they serving dry chicken breast with the orders now. Not a double legs and thighs. Pattie’s still good though. But the love left the food.

Was craving Jamaican today, ordered through skip. When food got here, majority of order was fresh, hot and portions were great. However im leaving 2 stars due the oxtail tasting gamey, festivals were cold and stale, gave me stew instead of chicken curry and Diet Coke instead of cokes without informing me before hand. Like I said some of my food was hot and fresh, but wasn’t a fan of the many hiccups. I’ll order elsewhere next time.P.s reading the other reviews, im not surprised my order was messed up, could be due to the aloof staff.- Do better Jamaican restaurants

Terrible unpleasant staff, when asked what's on the menu refused to repeat the options. Responding with, I just told you what's on the menu earlier. Not all options on the board are available. Then offered no other explanation. J*** chicken was cold and rice was soaked in gravy. The space looked like they were in the process of moving lots of chairs stacked upon tables. Just look dated and shabby.Parking: This is located in strip malls with lots of free parking.

I’ve never seen a business so poorly run as I see here. 7 times out of 10 , they’re out of of stock on that particular item. Today, the Uber driver showed up and there was nothing for him to deliver. I asked them to substitute it for something else and they wouldn’t do it. What a shame!!!
