Jamaica House appears to be on point with food and customer service. Very nice girl at the cashier polite and professional and she is also good looking. The ladies who bring out the food are nice too. The food is amazing.

Food is really good, but the customer service is awful.I went in to purchase food today. There was myself and a male Caucasian customer in the restaurant. I am a woman of color. A female staff member from the kitchen handed me my order with an unpleasant demeanor and a sour disposition. However, when she handed the Caucasian customer his food she stated "thank you sir and have a nice day."What I fail to understand is why colored people treat their own people so harshly and we are trying to support our people. This is really bad for business and I am very disappointed. We need to provide good customer service whether the customer is African-American, Indian, Caucasian or Asian etc. It's very unprofessional.

I surprised my husband by taking him here for our anniversary. I heard great reviews about their food and loved the menu when I looked them up online. We are Jamaican and love Jamaican food so we had high expectations coming here. It was an early reservation so we had the place to ourselves at first. The restaurant was clean, had a great ambiance with sweet reggae music to add to the vibe! Marlon our waiter was pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu options, answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations about what to order. He checked on us often throughout the meal and offered stellar service. We had the appetizer platter for 2 where you can choose 4 options. We got the chicken wings, jerk chicken spring rolls, festival and coconut shrimp. Lawd the food taste sweet! Everything tasted freshly made but the coconut shrimp was the winner. Best coconut shrimps I have ever tasted! For our main dishes my husband got the stuffed steam snapper and added shrimp with ground provision as his side and I got the oxtail with rice and peas with a green salad. The food was fresh, well seasoned, great portion sizes and took me back home with the savoury flavour profile. We were literally moaning under our breath because the food tasted so nice! We decided to share the pineapple and coconut ice cream for dessert. Icecream never ever tasted so good! There were big chunks of real pineapple in the icecream. There was a party in our mouths from the first bite to the very last. We will definitely be coming back and bringing the whole family next time. There is quite a wait to receive your food so come with that in mind, but I can say the food is definitely worth the wait! When you are receiving quality food, you can and will want to wait. More reason to enjoy the music and have conversation in between. You will not be disappointed!
