The red snapper escovitch is some of the best I've had outside of Jamaica! The guava and passion fruit milkshake is a must try, and so is the jerk chicken Alfredo!!

Jamaica House appears to be on point with food and customer service. Very nice girl at the cashier polite and professional and she is also good looking. The ladies who bring out the food are nice too. The food is amazing.

Food is really good, but the customer service is awful.I went in to purchase food today.  There was myself and a male Caucasian customer in the restaurant.  I am a woman of color.  A female staff member from the kitchen handed me my order with an unpleasant demeanor and a sour disposition.  However, when she handed the Caucasian customer his food she stated "thank you sir and have a nice day."What I fail to understand is why colored people treat their own people so harshly and we are trying to support our people.  This is really bad for business and I am very disappointed.  We need to provide good customer service whether the customer is African-American, Indian, Caucasian or Asian etc.  It's very unprofessional.

Ordered a "family pack" today and was told I cannot get it because there was no rice. Even after insisting i do not need rice I was refused my order because it HAS to come with rice as per staff. This item is located NO WHERE on their menu and it appears they're selective with who they sell it to. I was sent on my way with 2 pieces of chicken and dry provision. Last time this place gets my money.

Definitely a hidden gem. When you walk in, it is quite small in terms of where you have to line up, but I assume it's because the room next door is closed because I assume that's where the dine-in spot used to be. Ordered fried chicken, with beans, and rice. In a few quick minutes, a wonderful woman came out and called out our order number. Bonus: she was in such a happy, singing mood and I loved it! She was clearly enjoying the moment and the music - so it was awesome to see. The portion for the food was a lot! I was pleasantly surprised and happy. The food was really good, delicious and super happy with it. I would definitely come here again. Highly recommend!

Can you say horrid? Service was good, called ahead for larger order and everything was ready. The food quality however was lacking. Brown stew fish was sweet and flavourless (seasoned right before cooking?). Do not order, the worst I've ever had. No provisions during COVID you say? Good plan... Jerk Ribs were a joke. Tastes like they bought the bottled jerk sauce and slapped it on the ribs. If you want real jerk ribs (with legit jerk red sauce) and are willing to go to Sauga, DM. Jerk Pork was decent, too fatty for me but that's just preference. Wasn't great, but a solid 3/5. Escovitch fish was good. Again nothing special, but with the bammy I was happy enough. Wouldn't order again but if that's your target, you will not be upset with purchase. Oven roasted Snapper with calaloo was great. If this was the only thing I ordered I'd be debating between a 4 and 5 star review. Not best I've ever had. But it's the only thing I'd consider re-ordering (though I wouldn't because it's too expensive, and too easy to make myself). Now to the soup...Double U TF. They had beef that day which I normally won't order because it's so simple to make, but boy did they screw it up royally. Was vegetable soup with two piece(s) of beef. Such a joke. Over abundance of carrots because they didn't have actual ingredients like yam and dumpling. Soup alone these jokers get a zero. My mom liked the oxtail, but I never tried so can't say if it was good or not (and she's not Jamaican). Brother had the jerk chicken and said he wished he ordered fried chicken instead since it was so bad. Really sad considering Eglinton is closer than Brampton. Was actually considering a late night trek before being satisfied by the oven roasted. I hate posting this review because I like to support the community. And during these times a negative review could have a terrible impact. However, I wish one of the reviews I read had warned me. These are good people from what I've been told and not all of the food is insulting or upsetting. Stick to the escovitch and oven roasted snapper and you'll be happy.

Worst Service! Ordered a tray of food and when I came to pick it up they told me they didn't start yet and had numerous customers walking in and out and first come first serve and used the goat I preordered to serve the walk in customers so what was the point of pre ordering? Doesn't even make sense. No apology nothing like it was my fault. Would not come back here again!

So after being told at 1 pm in the day stew peas still wasn't ready I ordered the curry goat. The white rice was hard and tough and I joked that it must be the plastic rice I keep seeing on Facebook. But after a few more bites joke was really on me, cause I found a long piece of plastic mixed in with the goat. better I had gone to McDonald 's, this is the last dollar I will ever spend at any Jamaica house location.

I normally go to Jamaica House at Weston rd and finch (not sure if they are affiliated) but I was very disappointed with the food I got at this Brampton location. My order was a curry goat and white rice also a stew chicken with provisions. The goat was cut in big pieces with no fat trimmed off and was very unattractive to eat. The stew chicken wasnt even like a normal stew chicken the gravy should normally be thin but this was thick like a bbq sauce. We had to throw our food away. I will never go to this location again.

The place is located in a small strip plaza on Kennedy Rd, which is not the nicest looking area. However, the interior is clean, nice and inviting. I did not stay to eat in, (I did takeout) but I saw that the presentation of the food served was great. Food was served on nice crisp white plates. It appears to be a nice classy place to have a sit down meal. Restrooms are for customers only and they ensure that by having a keypad lock on the washroom door. There is parking in the plaza. The back of the plaza seems to be parking for a trucking business. The service was friendly and inviting. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch special to go for $7.99. I was invited to sit by the bar to wait for my food and asked if I wanted juice. The three stars is solely based on the food which was average. The food was hot, the chicken was not dry with an okay texture, but the flavour was missing. It came with a side of sauce, which was very mild. The rice and peas were okay, they were mushy. The side salad was minimal and had no dressing, it was just finely chopped lettuce and cucumber. The chicken was a thigh and a drumstick, the rice was not plentiful.

The food and service here is absolutely amazing! This is my absolutely favourite restaurant on the west end! It is such a small and humble place, that it could easily be overlooked. I can't wait to have some rum cake and cheesecake again...yummy

The food was authentic and delicious and the service was great too. We went for an appetizer and a wine evening, everything we had was delicious.
