Was excited to try this spot for lunch. I had to use a Food Service app for my group ($100 order). Unfortunately the restaurant did not accept my order in a timely matter and it was automatically canceled. Look forward to trying again another day.

I've only eaten there twice, only because its close to my Dr. as I don't live in the area. I enjoyed the food on both occasions. Ladies working there are very pleasant. Price for portion is quite good. I'd literally drive there if I needed for jerk pork. Really good.

We have been eating here for over 20 years and we have never been disappointed ! My mother in law was Jamaican and we have recommended this place to all of the cousins!
We have taken Jamaican friends and everybody loves this place !
Staff is really friendly !
Quite often we do large orders for family get togethers! Order the meat by the pound and the rice and peas separate for big orders and don’t forget the Scotch Bonnet sauce, and coleslaw on the side!
Our favs are the Jerk Pork, and Oxtail , but we have literally tried most of the menu!
If you are lucky you might find the homemade rum cake!
Their freezer has some good patties also!

Not even sure how I’ve missed this hidden gem for so long!! The food is a 10!!!!! The staff are amazing. So nice! You’re not getting your food in 2 minutes. You gotta wait. It’s not a long wait, but it was worth every minute. Loved the place, and will be stopping in regularly while working. 10! 10! 10!!!!!!!

Best jerk in the GTA I've had the pork as well as the chicken, both are equally as good. Rice and beans are great as well. Always a favorite for my coworkers when we do lunch.

i had ordered a large jerk pork and asked that no fat be on my meat. The lady looked at me, never said anything and went to share my food. after reaching my destination, i opened the take out container onyl to find the 97% was pure fat, uneatable. so i was left to only eat the rice and peas. the little peice of meat that i did get, lacked seasoning, only the gravy had taste of jer with a little spice.. much different from previous experiences which i noticed the seasoning began getting lighter with each visit.. very disappinted in this experience. I would encourage people to open the take out container and take a look before they pack it up, to ensure it is to your asking.. i hope things make a turn around for the better

I stopped by Portland Jerk today and placed a pretty large order, 5 full-size meals. At first, I was concerned it might be too much for the one woman handling everything in the shop, but she confidently let me know it was no problem. Even as the place started to get busy, she stayed calm, helpful, and professional, making sure every customer was taken care of. That kind of service—especially when you’re working solo..is something I really respect.
And the food? 🔥🔥🔥 Absolutely perfect. I haven’t had jerk chicken and stew chicken from Portland in over 10 years, and this brought back all the right memories. Tender, flavourful, and worth every penny. If you think you’re hungry, just order a large jerk chicken and see how much you get.. you won’t be disappointed!
Big respect to the woman working today. She handled it all like a boss. Will definitely be back again soon.
