Food lacked tsaste.
I asked if teashe spicy basil noodles can be done vegetarian, I was told yes. Then what I got in my plate was plain noodles tossed with veggies.

I said it lacks flavor, she tells me that's because there was no seasoning since you asked vegetarian and our seasoning had chicken.

Well so you should have told me we can't make it vegetarian. That was $20!!!!

The crispy tofu was nice, the 2 stars is for that. But even the pad Thai was terrible. Tasted like they put ketchup.

Even a Thai experess does a far better job than what they did with this food.

UPDATING REVIEW:
Ordered Padthai via Uber eats and wow it was the worst Padthai I've ever tasted. It was lacking flavour and so bland! There was hardly any sauce and was just all noodles. What a waste of $25. I've read other reviews that had similar experience with Paidthai here. Maybe it's my fault for ordering a Thai food at a Viet restaurant, but if you can't make it properly, then take it off of the menu. So disappointed as I had a good experience here prior to this.

My go-to restaurant for Viet cravings. Food are consistent, restaurant is clean and spacious, and staff are friendly. I've tried their Pho, Bun Bo Hue, and Vermicelli Noodles and it's always delicious. One thing I would not get here is their Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls.(barely any traces of shrimps and its mostly lettuce and noodles), thus lost a star. Otherwise I'd recommend it 100%!

We had Pad See-ew, one vegetarian one with Chicken. Both were good and authentic. Not sweet like other places.
Free Green tea at the start is a nice gesture.

They could improve their service a bit. For eg you’re sort of left wondering when you enter what’s the process to ask for dine-in
it’s the same line for pick-up. They they just point you to sit anywhere in the general area they point to.
They brought one main course first and the other several minutes later, with no communication. Rookie mistake when serving a table.
And then for dine in, you’re again asked to go pay at the front cashier.
With a few basic improvements and management, they could improve their customer experience a lot better.
Their signs aren’t lit up and from far, you are left wondering if the place is even open.
We honestly ended up here because Sarvanna Bhavan had a long line up.
To do well in this competitive restaurant area, they’re going to have to step it up.

I have previously left a review on this restaurant and I've seen change of location and changes in dishes over the years. I had previously given Saigon house 5 stars for their Khao Soi, but regretfully, I'm lowering the score to 3. prior to my last visit of Saigon house, their Khao Soi was possibly the best thing I've ever tasted. a generous portion with braised beef and a curry base that unfolded new flavors with each bite. this was a couple years ago and I can still taste it just talking about what it was like. However on my last visit, clearly a cost cutting decision was made. they got rid of the braised beef for the same generic beef you'd find in any run of the mill pho tai and the broth was diluted or just simply not as complex and intense in flavor as before, not to mention it wasn't even spicy at all. I had spent months craving the Khao Soi I had previously experienced but now I'd rather look elsewhere. all this being said, Saigon house is still worth a visit if you want reasonably priced and generous portions, I'm just very disappointed that they have decided to cut costs, I would've had no problem paying more for the Khao Soi they used to offer if cost was the primary issue.

Ordered their pad see ew. beef was extremely dry. The flavour was lacking and the price was almost $25. Would not recommend, would not return, waste of money.

I’ve been to this restaurant about 10 times, and my experience has been very hit or miss. About half the time, the chicken Pad Thai is bland and lacking flavor, which is really disappointing especially after paying almost 25$ on door dash... The other half of the time, it’s excellent — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I expect from great Pad Thai. It feels like consistency is their biggest problem. When it’s good, it’s easily one of the best in the area, but when it’s not, it’s hard to justify coming back.

I ordered the Tom Kha Soup (tofu) and spicy basil rice. None met my expectations. I have had far far better from other restaurants.
The soup was watery, had tomato which I have never seen in a ton Kha soup, and massive size vegetables. The rice were ok, no basil flavor. Not ordering food from this place again

They have less choices in their menu compared to other Viet restos I have been to. I would recommend the rice dishes especially grilled porkchop with rice which you can substitute the rice to fried rice with an extra charge. You have choices in your Pho (M, L and Xl). Large can feed two people already. The servings are pretty small as well and food is quite on the pricey side. I would say that given SH is already an institution here in Brampton. The previous resto near BCC cooks better to be honest. The tofu and calamari are basic.

We recently visited Saigon House Vietnamese Restaurant in Brampton and, unfortunately, our experience was underwhelming. We ordered the House Special Noodle Soup with tripes and tendons, but it was disappointing to find that the tendons were missing and the dish lacked the depth of flavor we expected.

The Crispy Wontons were okay but not remarkable. With only about six or seven pieces for $10, it felt overpriced for the portion and taste. We also tried the Pad Thai, described as stir-fried with egg, sprouts, onion, carrot in tamarind sauce topped with peanuts. Sadly, the tamarind flavor was nowhere to be found. Instead, the dish leaned heavily toward a curry-like taste with an extra sweetness that overwhelmed the balance, leaving it far from authentic Pad Thai.

We ordered young coconut juice, expecting fresh, tender coconut water with pulp. What we received instead tasted like packaged “Grace Coconut Water” with just a small piece of coconut added in — not at all what we had hoped for.

On the positive side, the ambience of the restaurant was very good. The space was clean, had plenty of seating, and offered a comfortable setting. However, billing discrepancies made the experience worse. Initially, we were charged for crab fries instead of wonton fries, and later the bill listed a large noodle soup instead of the medium we had ordered. Although these errors were corrected, they added unnecessary inconvenience.

Overall, we didn’t find the food or service worth the price, and we don’t plan on returning.
