This location is great. The servers are extremely sweet. I am usually an early bird and grab breakfast before heading to work. The quality is consistent and the food’s well made every single time. The staff is really pleasant so a good start to the day. Would recommend their meat lover’s poutine

Lovely little place and a nice change from the “brampton vibes”. I went in around 2pm on Saturday afternoon and wasn’t too busy. Ordered eggs, with bacon, sausage, toast and home fries with a small fruit cup and coffee. I had attentive, pleasant, and friendly service from everyone. Authentic and genuine people running a family business and really care about providing a great service and taking care of their customers. Food was well prepared and came out super fast. Coffee kept flowing and I had a relaxed and enjoyable meal and experience overall.

I was very disappointed with the service at Sunset Grill during my recent visit. After waiting over 30 minutes for our order, we discovered it had been forgotten. Despite reassurances that it was "coming soon," nothing arrived after another 10 minutes. As frequent customers, this experience was frustrating and fell far below our expectations.

We have been here many times and honestly we love food here. But, this morning the service was pathetic they took around 35-40 minutes and food was not served. Highly disappointed.

I recently visited Sunset Grill and was extremely disappointed with the service. After placing our order, we waited over 30 minutes only to realize they had completely forgotten it. When we inquired, the staff assured us it was "coming soon," but another 10 minutes passed with no updates.
As frequent customers living nearby, we were shocked by the decline in service quality. This experience was far below our expectations, and we left feeling frustrated. I hope they can address these issues.

I have been a regular at Sunset Grill since it opened at 2969 Bovaird Drive East, Brampton, and it's disheartening to witness the consistent decline in both service quality and operational standards. There are serious ongoing concerns with the establishment’s sanitation practices, employee conduct, and food handling procedures that need immediate attention.
The state of the restroom facilities is not only inconvenient but poses significant health risks. For over a year, the restroom faucets have had inadequate water pressure, making effective handwashing nearly impossible—an essential preventive measure in any food service environment. Despite multiple reports from myself and others, the issue has gone unaddressed. Compounding this, the automatic paper towel dispensers are non-functional, and management's interim solution—placing a roll of paper towels on top of the dispenser—is highly unsanitary. This exposes the paper towels to contamination, as they are frequently touched and mishandled by multiple patrons. Moreover, the dispenser’s angled surface often causes the roll to fall onto the floor, leading to further contamination risks. This handling of hand hygiene supplies does not align with safe food service practices and significantly increases the potential for cross-contamination, particularly concerning in an establishment serving food.
Service quality has also deteriorated markedly. Upon arrival today at 0927 HRS (9:27 AM), we waited at the designated "Wait to be Seated" sign, only to be ignored by staff, who instead instructed us to grab menus and seat ourselves at Table #52. This lack of customer engagement and oversight sets a poor tone from the outset. We placed our order for Three Eggs with home fries, toast, and turkey bacon, along with a coffee request, which was initially served in the incorrect cup size. While this minor error was promptly corrected, the larger issue arose with the handling of our food.
From the time of order placement to the point of receiving our food, an excessive amount of time elapsed. Our completed order was visibly left sitting in the pass for over 10 minutes—specifically, from 0952 HRS (9:52 AM). This extended period of holding time raises serious concerns about food safety and quality. Food that remains in the pass for prolonged periods risks entering the temperature danger zone (4°C to 60°C), where bacterial growth accelerates, potentially leading to foodborne illnesses. When we addressed this delay with staff, the dismissive response—that they were short-staffed—was both unprofessional and indicative of poor management. Staffing issues are not an excuse for compromised food safety or service standards. The operational delays and lack of food management protocols undermine the integrity of the dining experience.
The combination of unsanitary conditions, prolonged food holding times, and dismissive service attitudes reflects a significant lapse in standard operating procedures that should not be tolerated in any food service establishment. As a loyal customer, it’s disappointing to see Sunset Grill fall short of basic health and service standards. Without immediate corrective action to address these critical concerns, this establishment cannot be recommended as a safe or enjoyable dining option.
