The worst meal I have ever had. The waitress was rude and surly and the bus person was nearly as bad. Used to come here quite regularly but todays experience was awful.

I have been craving good Indian food lately, and Swagat Indian Cuisine came through! The menu was loaded with my favorite Indian foods: The samosas (with mango chutney) were hot, crispy, and flavorful. Next up, chicken tikka masala: rich, creamy sauce and huge chunks of chicken. Aloo mutter (veggie dish) packed a punch with its spiciness. Finally, the naan was perfectly baked and useful for dipping into the masala. Solid food. Good but not overly attentive service. I'm looking forward to my next visit. It appeared they were doing a busy carry out service too. Good job!

Once known for its AYCE buffet, finally a visit post Covid. Remembering how the entree platters were mounds of a meal, now the Aloo Gobi to-go in a small cup for $16? Not recommended for take out; portions are ridiculously small and no utensils or napkins were provided.

We came across this restaurant on our last evening in Amsterdam. It’s located close to Olympic Stadium - very convenient to our hotel. We sat on the nice little outdoor patio. We had the butter chicken for a mild dish and a spicier prawn curry. Both were excellent. They are served with rice or naan. The pakora starter was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. Overall a great experience.

Great portions, flavors, and service. A little bummed that I had ordered Lamb Vindaloo to go but got chicken instead. It wasn't GOAT! Will go back to satisfy my unmet need.. and yes, it's worth a 2nd and a 3rd visit..

Reviews led us to try this place, and I'm here to do the same! This place was awesome. Solid price for all of the food you get. Flavor is delicious and spice is just right! Good drink selection as well

Team meal was delicious. Mixed starters of veg pakora , lamb / chicken kebab fantastic. Naans fresh and hot and tasty curries. Helpful kitchen adding heat when asked. Will come again.

We were in town for an event and stayed at a friend's house about a block away. From there you can smell the delicious cumin and curry scents, so we had to try this place. It was one of the best meals we had during our 9-day stay in Portland. Our order was a vegetable samosa, palak paneer, chicken makhani, and garlic naan...and we ordered an extra rice. The grand total was $47 excluding tip (we didn't order drinks). All flavors were particularly deep and piquant. I love Indian food and we've had several, but this was a memorable one. The entrees were a bit pricier than I'm used to paying for Indian, but the portions were enough for us to take home leftovers. The menu had a lot of options. The samosa appeared a bit greasy, but it was smooth and crispy. The palak paneer was unlike any I'd had; packed with flavor and some different spices, and a bit of sweetness. Chicken makhani as well...absolutely delicious. Even the garlic naan was bursting with flavor. Highly recommend. They have two other locations apparently. And now I'm hungry again!

Love this place. Food is amazing. Got lamb biryani dinner and a vindaloo dish. Biryani was amazing and plentiful. Just happy to have a solid Indian restaurant in Portland as there are not many and I have never been disappointed going here.

Nice for brunch in April, May, or June of 2022. Tried the vegetarian Indian brunch for about $13, $14, or $15. Left 20% tip. This brunch included mint chutney, naan, rice likely basmati rice, one vegetable dish, and one dessert (Indian rice pudding or raita).

Our sever was friendly and attentive. 2 of the people in our party were not familiar with Indian food and she happily answered all their questions. Everything was amazing and fresh. We had a lot of left overs because the portions are huge. I wish this restaurant was in my city so I could try everything on the menu!

I kept hearing people rant about this place. I finally got to try it. I'm sorry but this is the worst Indian food I've ever had. The butter chicken sauce had so much sugar and was so sweet, it could've been dessert. The briyani didn't even have a hard boiled egg. The food was mediocre to really terrible. This seems like the idea of an Indian restaurant by the whitest person in America.

I HIGHLY recommend Swagats. Every time I've eaten here it's been absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! I miss the buffets they use to have but their brunches still have a lot of variety!! The atmosphere is very nice too. This is a wonderful place!

Review is for Angelika. She was so friendly, greeted us well. Gave us a lot of recommendations for tourist destinations in Portland and just a lovely person to meet at the restaurant. Food was good and they were very courteous
