This restaurant from start to finish was Fantastic, the atmosphere, the owner came to greet and make sure our food was up to par. The son was our waiter, listed all of the specials and we had some of them. My husband ordered a chickpea cabbage soup which was the best tasting soup. My parents and I had all different salads all of them were great. The entree's were also bomb. The veal pasta dishes and the shrimp dishes were great, the house red wine was yummy even the dessert was delicious. I would definitely go back. The prices were a little high but worth it with everything else so great.

Food here is fantastic. Unfortunately, I had such an incredibly rude exchange with the owner who was so arrogant and insensitive over a reservation request that I will never return. This review is late, the incident was about 3.5 years ago and I’m still angry at the way it was handled.

Excellent!
Food and service was outstanding, owner for some possible a little over the top, some will enjoy and others will not.
We will definitely return.

The owner was very rude when I was making reservations, he starts yelling and it’s beyond unprofessional, and start saying you don’t just book it like this for fine dining. Would not recommend anyone to come

My husband and I had dinner here tonight - it was phenomenal. We had escargot, two delicious pastas, and the crème brûlée and lemon tiramisu. 10/10. The staff were top notch, as was the wine! I can’t wait to return with our parents - they would love it here. Thanks for a fantastic night!

The owner should be encouraged to take some sensitivity training to say the least. I think he needs to realize that the world is much bigger than the bubble he lives in. His passion for food should note excuse his rudeness towards his guests. A fine culinary experience transcends good food, which is this case can be hit and miss.

Unless you are looking for blunt RACISM, EXTREME ARROGANCE, and RUDENESS steer away from this place!!! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

I never express my disappointment with restaurants through reviews because I know it’s always better to give them honest feedback at the restaurant and not hurt their business through online reviews. On the rare occasion that I have spoken to restaurant owners about my dissatisfaction, i have received nothing but genuine apologies and the restaurant staff being very receptive of my requests and feedback.

This place is the complete opposite. It deserves this low and bad review. As I had the most horrible experience of my life!!

The red flags of this place started from the moment I called to make reservation but I ignored them and went ahead anyway.

When we arrived at the place, the first thing that was demanded of us by the old man was to clean our shoes on the door mat before stepping on his “very nice floors”.
Right off the bat the man proudly announced himself as Greek and asked us where are we from as if it was one of his conditions to let us in the place. Again, I ignored the red flag and thought of it as simple curiosity and told him where I am from and so did the people with me. The entire time the old man was making me very uncomfortable by not giving personal space and standing very close to me with occasional placing of his hand on mine and my niece’s shoulder while talking & still entertaining the topic of what is our cultural background and how proud he is to be Greek.

Fast forward we ordered appetizers and food. In between the old man kept coming to the table and disturbing us and intruding into our our conversations. He was asking very personal questions of what we do for a living etc.

While we finished the appetizers which were not bad , I was not happy with my main course. I politely asked for my food to be changed and I made it clear that we were willing to pay even for the plate that I didn’t like and couldn’t even take one bite. I just wanted something different.
From there on the old “Greek” man started belittling me as if I don’t know what good food is and that I should read the menu and know the meaning of every word that describes the food.
He kept on his arrogance and not a single gesture of respecting us as his customers. As he was walking away from the table he made a blunt RACIST COMMENT. Saying a person from the country that Im from not liking his food is an insult to him.

More horrible experience came from his son who was the server but I guess you all can imagine what a shaking experience this must have been for us.
These people don’t deserve to have a business in this day and age and treat people with disrespect, arrogance and feeling of superiority.

I’ve had the privilege to eat at some finest restaurants around the globe and I’ve never encountered open racism such as at this “Italian Caffe” ran by a greek man. My wife ordered a lime veal or whatever that was. With nothing but politeness we have asked for a steak and even said that we will pay for the veal since we didn’t like it. All of a sudden a nice host turned racist and telling us that it’s an insult, insult being a criticism coming from my Middle Eastern wife. Don’t go there, food is very average. We will be reporting this incident and behaviour to appropriate boards and authorities. Apparently giving feedback and not liking food at this restaurant hurt the cook’s feelings who is also a member of the family. If you will read other comments you will notice a pattern and others reporting racist comments and rude behaviour even over the phone. This place is not worth a single dollar.
