The food was good and served timely manner. The only negative what the the inside was deplorable! Broken down booths, clock not working, washed out chalk board. Freezing cold inside. And a screaming child. OWNER PLEASE FIX UP THE INSIDE OF YOUR RESTAURANT THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS GREAT

Had a breakfast date with my hubby recently. We finally got to fulfill our anticipation and tried out Kels Family Restaurant. The recommendations are on point for this place and we both agreed we needed to do a whole family visit soon. The menu had oodles of options: hubby chose a Western and I had the Double Down (at the server's suggestion because I wanted bacon and sausage; this was the better deal). Everything was amazing - hot, fresh, cooked perfectly and ready quickly! The home fries are DELICIOUS!!! We loved the personalities of the staff and the way they treated us like long-lost friends; super cozy and playful vibes! Hubby practically licked his plate clean and, as promised, I had lots leftover to enjoy tomorrow morning. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a breaky at this place as soon as you can! 🍳

Eggs Benny was delicious, so many different options. Started with the peameal benny, will be back to try the others. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the peameal bacon was a good amount, and the home fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
10:30 am on a Saturday. Party of 6. Parking is a bit tight. We did have to wait for a table to get cleaned, to accommodate all of us. Server was very nice and she was funny too. Coffee order taken right away seemed promising but took too long to get. Orders were brought in by a younger girl who couldn't manage a smile. Food was great. Portions were great. Coffee refills were great. Prices were a bit high for my liking. All in all very good and we will likely go back

We wanted to love this place bc it seems like everyone does! Food is not good at all, we did enjoy the pancakes but the syrup tasted water downed and ruined the pancake. For the price it was terrible. The home fries were tasteless fried up potatoes not even cut up good and the bacon worse by far we have had. The service was okay, but not our cup of tea.

Kel’s Family Restaurant is our go-to in Brantford. Classic diner feel, friendly staff, and unbeatable prices. The $6.50 breakfast special (pictured) was hot, tasty, and more than enough to start the day. Coffee never runs low thanks to the attentive service. Always worth the stop!
