We live right across the street, and I’ve been telling my husband let’s go for almost a year lol. Celebrated my birthday here last night.
Really great place! The vibe is super chill and intimate and the food was very delicious. Very huge shoutout the bartender! The drinks were wonderful. Will definitely be returning soon
Would highly reccomend !

Another INCREDIBLE dinner. We are never disappointed here. Our server, Lauren, was amazing and she should get a sick raise.
We will absolutely be back.

Found myself in Brantford yesterday, very unexpectedly. Had a couple of hours before my Via Train left and looked for something close to the station. On The Lam is an absolute gem. Scott (chef / owner) and his staff are phenomenal. What he is pushing out of his kitchen can stand up to most top tier restaurants in much larger cities. Notable for me were the PEI Oysters, Ginger Beef Springrolls, and his Beef Tartare with Jalapeño. Unreal.

A Brantford gem. Interesting menu, attentive staff. Worth a night out. Key Lime pie in a jar made for a truly happy ending...

Felt like a family bistro with high end prices. The food was good but not worth the price. For example, the entree didn’t come with a single side. Nothing at all - just a piece of meat for $30-55. The sides were mediocre (carrots and puff potatoes that tasted over saturated in oil.) No soup in the fall.
The restaurant was crowded, practically touching elbows on a Wed night with a 6pm reservation. Even though we arrived to an empty restaurant, they seated the next couple to arrive right next to us squishing us in even though we told them it was our special anniversary.
The music was all female singers such as Tiffany.
All of the staff was very young. It felt weird. Not going back. 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 sides total was just over $200 plus tip. The food at a place like the Ancaster Mill is worth the price. This just wasn’t anywhere near that level of quality.

We had an amazing experience!
The beef tenderloin was easily the best steak we’ve ever had - medium rare!
The puff potato’s were incredible.
I had the OTL burger, it was great, but not something I’d order again. I realize as I get older, I like the order things I can’t master at home.
The Mexican street corn, beef carpaccio and Buffalo cauliflower were yummy!
For dessert, we had the key lime cups. I’d pass on the chocolate toffee option, it wasn’t what I was expecting, however, still a nice sweet treat.
10/10 recommend!

Absolutely loved my experience at On The Lam in Brantford. The menu may be simple, but every dish is a knockout packed with bold, memorable flavours. enjoyed drinks, apps, sides, mains AND dessert, and every bite was on point. The cocktails laid-back yet stylish. It was relaxed at first but definitely picked up and got busy as the night went on, showing just how popular this spot is. The service was top-notch from start to finish attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, excellent drinks, and a cool, casual atmosphere!

Enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner at On the Lamb. Service was fantastic, Lat was so inviting and the food was great. You have to get the Korean fried chicken as an app, so good. Lychee martini is a must try, you will want more than one for sure! I had the OTL burger and hubby had the tenderloin, both delicious and add the potato puffs, OMG so good! Even though we were stuffed we had to do dessert, key line was great but the star was the toffee pudding. Everything was great but the restaurant was very loud which made it hard for us to carry on a conversation with one another. We will be back though, the food makes it worth it!

My husband and I went to this restaurant to try something new for our 20th anniversary. It was a busy place which is good! We were seated at a table that was about 1-2 ft from the table beside us. We were crammed in between two tables. We asked to move only to be told the tables on the other side of the restaurant had to be reserved differently and if there was a no show we would be moved. Our wine and food were good. My husband's entree was beef tenderloin and it came out just that alone on a big plate. It looked lost! We each had the puffed potatoes which were very good. My shrimp was good too. The disappointing part of our experience was the atmosphere. We couldn't talk to each other because it was so loud and our neighbours were literally sitting on our lap. We were under the assumption that when you pay a lot of money for good food the atmosphere goes along with it. Our suggestion would be to remove one of the tables for two against the one wall to allow the diners some freedom to talk so you aren't on top of each other. Unfortunately we won't be back. We have our usual favourites for fine dining and this isn't it.

It seems like a good restaurant, the problem is they don’t give me an opportunity to try it. The first time I tried going, they told me it was over an hour wait. Tried again today and the entire restaurant is booked out for a private party. There are plenty of restaurants in Brantford to go spend money on, I’m not going to beg you guys to eat here.
