If I could give the oriental restaurant is zero star I would. The food was cold when I got delivered. The food taste stale won’t be ordering from there again that place is going downhill. $32 for a bucket of garbage

My go to for Chinese take out. Always delicious although I believe they've changed their fried rice. Now it's more like overcooked steamed rice with fried rice fixins. Still tastey, just a texture thing. My only real issue is that like everything else, it's gotten so expensive :(

I’m sorry to write a negative review but honestly this place was one of the worst Chinese food restaurants I’ve ever had. The service was great but the food lacked flavour, the fried rice didn’t seemed fried, the sweet and sour spare ribs had little to no meat and the honey garlic chicken wings lacked the sweet honey flavour. My entire family was disappointed. I’ve lived in Brantford going on 5 years and I’m still looking for a decent Chinese food restaurant to order from.

First time ordering from here and will NOT be back. Ordered for a 5 pm pickup at 3:45. Arrived at 4:55 and did not receive my order until 5:30. This kind of wait time is unacceptable. One patron who frequents this establishment often let me know that this is a common occurrence and that they routinely show up 30 minutes after their pickup time and still have to wait.
Every time I asked the two staff members working the front about the status of my order, they could not give me a timeframe to when it would be ready. One of them finally let me know that it would be 5 more minutes…at 5:25.
I understand they were busy and it’s the Chinese New Year and a Sunday, but, being from Toronto originally, I’ve never had to wait that long after my designated pickup at places that are 10x busier.
Besides the ridiculous wait time, the food was subpar at best. I’ve had better Chinese from Mandarin and from Manchu Wok. That’s saying something. The egg rolls were bland, the beef was tough and the chicken in the chop suey was dry. Also, there was no sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls. However, they do let you pick how many fortune cookies you’d like…as if that makes a bloody difference.
If you want good Chinese food, drive 35 minutes into Woodstock and go to Fu Lok. They get your order out to you in a timely manner and it’s always fresh and flavourful.
