Full disclosure I wasn't able to get a sub. Walked in on a Sunday at 6:05 with no one inside. I stood and waited. Looking around, I saw 2 baskets of uncooked fries hanging hanging in the fryer. Waited for 5 minutes, then walked out the door.

I have been going to Palace Submarine for over twenty years. In that time, the staff has changed, the décor has changed, and I even wager a guess that the ownership has changed. But one thing that has stayed exactly the same is their bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings.
The portions are huge. The burger is more than enough for one person, maybe even enough for two. And the onion rings—I only had a small, but from many places, it would have been a large. The bun is fresh, the burgers are cooked perfectly, and the ingredients all come together to provide that unique combination that makes a Palace Sub bacon double cheeseburger just right. I recommend you get it with everything.
The burger is messy, so you're going to want to have napkins. But I can guarantee it's exactly what the doctor ordered. That's if doctors prescribed bacon double cheeseburgers—and they don't. But maybe they should. One thing that I love about Palace Submarine is their consistency. How could I have been going to this restaurant for over twenty years and the burger has remained exactly the same? They always make it perfect. If you're in the area and you're craving one, I highly recommend you stop in. It's exactly as ordered.

Employee didn't even use gloves or wash his hands in preparing my sub. Ask him to add banana peppers but he didn't bother to listen to my request. I love to support local businesses but this is one I won't be supporting after tonight.

Perfect restaurant for the mom on the go.. never a long wait time when I call and order its usually ready for me when I get there (Maybe 10-20mins) not to mention they have a pretty big menu so it's perfect for the picky eater in your life. My favorite part is that you can watch them make your meal from start to finish. Staff goes above and beyond just to make sure the customer has a pleasant experience.. it's definitely not a fancy place but if your looking for great food at a great price this is your place. I do not recommend the palace poutine but if you get the cheese curd poutine it's pretty good and I'm french Canadian so poutine is my thing. LoL

Ever since the new owns have taken over the quality of both food and serves has greatly declined. They let go of all the old staff that could have help them transition much easier. Portions have gotten smaller and food is over cooked. Flavours are not the same. Having to repeat yourself over and over to the staff is frustrating. Having to almost beg for toppings like lettuce and sauces is ridiculous.

Everyone the place hasn’t changed they still get fresh bread delivered ever single morning from azores bakery. The works on a sub has always been lettuce tomato onion sub sauce mayo mustard salt & pepper if you want pickles or hot peppers it’s always been a need to request them. George is my step dad and when he sold palace to these wonderful people he made sure everything would stay the same. And they are one of the most genuine people I have met if you talk to them with respect they will resolve any issue you have. I still eat here and I also still work there part time Because of how much I enjoy the atmosphere and working with these gentlemen and it’s sad to see how rude some people can be but I also love to see all the support they get because they deserve it

Lousy customer service: we ordered assorted subs asking for “everything” on it according to the menu and they put half the listed items claiming “they don’t do that unless you ask” .. dry old bread Used to love this place Definitely do not recommend now.

everytime i go to the palace they alway greet me with smile and "hi how are you" and my number 1 go to is the beef burger and fries and it is awesome very very good, ive also had the chicken fingers & fries, the assorted subs, chicken burger, chicken club, even tired there hot subs, spicy chicken, B.L.T, pizza, souvlaki, cheese curd poutine, and all of the beef burger, everything is very delicious and great, atmosphere is awesome, very nice all of them, 5 out of 5 for everything i would highly recommend palace submarine on a late or just walking past and looking for a quick bite..have a great day and stop in or order palace tonite you wont regret it.
