This is definitely a staple in brantford for restaurants! Great atmosphere especially if you like to have a bit of hockey or football in the background, always amazing friendly staff, the food is top tier pub style dining, portions are incredible! I've been going to Sammy's for the last 20 years and it's always my go to when you're hungry and not sure what you want. The menu is packed full of options! whether it be date night, hanging with friends or just plain solo it's a fantastic place to hang out for a bit for a good time. Parking is crappy. We parked on the street nearby. Steps into entrance and lack of auto doors would make this difficult for anyone who uses equipment to move.

I and three other friends were visiting Brantford from the states as we have a friend living there. I wanted to try a place that sold poutine and Sammy’s did not disappoint! It was very relaxed and our server was very friendly. The food was pretty good and the prices were good too.
Sammy's Rec Room is an absolute staple of Brantford. The food is well priced with generous portions, the beer and wine are among the cheapest in town, and there is something for even picky eaters on the menu. The owner, Mary, is very sweet, she makes every visit feel like you're dining at a friend's house.
