We went to Speekeezzies to celebrate our anniversary. The owner and host, Anthony, is incredible. He makes everyone feel special and welcome. The food was spectacular. I had the lamb and it was grilled to perfection! This is a small restaurant with a great staff and fantastic food. I highly recommend it!

This was our first time going to speekezzies, and it will not be our last time. It sure is a beautiful place. Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. We had the brusetta to start and we both had the chicken parm as our main. DELICIOUS 😋.
Very reasonable pricing and portions are huge.

A big shout out to our server (VANESSA). She goes above and beyond and she was ontop of everything. Fast, attentive, and sweeter than ever. ❤️

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of dining at one of Brantford’s hidden gems: Speekezzies. Nestled in an unassuming plaza on Fairview Drive, it’s easy to miss the faded sign above the entrance. Fortunately, I knew what awaited us beyond the aged façade, and it did not disappoint.

Inside, the restaurant is bathed in twinkling lights, creating a warm, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere. The staff are gracious and attentive without being intrusive, making us feel right at home. We were served by a lovely young lady named Brook, whose charm and professionalism made the evening truly special. At one point, the owner, Anthony, stopped by our table, passionately describing the evening’s specials with a flair that was a delight in itself. His enthusiasm for his craft is evident and reflected in the quality of the food.

We started our meal with Bruschetta, a perfect companion to the Valpolicella wine we selected. For the main course, I chose the bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin from the regular menu, while my wife, swayed by Anthony’s vivid description, opted for the lamb chop special. As we waited for our meals, I couldn’t help but appreciate the restaurant’s upscale ambiance—elegant yet refreshingly unpretentious. The professionalism of the staff was evident, and it was heartwarming to see fellow diners enjoying their evening, smiles on their faces as they were attentively looked after.

When our meals arrived, I was greeted by two beautifully cooked tenderloins, served alongside horseradish-infused mashed potatoes and perfectly roasted vegetables. The meat was succulent, seasoned to perfection, and cooked just right. My wife, meanwhile, was completely captivated by her lamb chops, also served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. I knew she was in food heaven because all conversation ceased as she savored every bite.

To cap off our wonderful evening, we shared a decadent chocolate crème brûlée, resisting the urge to lick the dish clean.

We are truly fortunate to have a local treasure like Speekezzies right here in Brantford. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s an experience that leaves you looking forward to your next visit. Highly recommend!

This place is such an incredible restaurant. I love the warm lights and candle light dinner. The staff is always so friendly. The food is divine!! I highly recommend this place.

Went for the first time on April 26th. Met friends there, Brantford was about half way for all of us. The food was wonderful, staff were great. Highly recommend!!

Fabulous food and service! What a great find in Brantford!!!! We went to celebrate our anniversary and didn’t just want the same boring Brantford places. Anthony is a wonderful host and chef, and he made our evening special. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed celebrating a few birthdays here this week This has always been a top notch establishment. From welcoming smiles to personal service from all staff. Honestly, this place restored my faith in establishments. My wife and I rarely go out anymore because every restaurant is a disappointment. They charge too much, ignore you, and genuinely just don't care. Right from the get go, they cared. The atmosphere was fantastic -- lively, and intimate. The decor, classic. Heather and Anthony were top notch. They paid attention to you and made you feel like somebody, like your time there matters. The explanation of the specials, fantastic. It's truly hard to describe, but they just get it. To them, they see people come in and out all the time -- to us, it really was experiential, and after a long work week, and the cost of everything these days being bananas, it really was money well spent. It's crazy to sit here and feel this way -- but if you're reading this review, I'm sure you know what I mean when you go somewhere and you're just a number or ignored. I will 100% be back, and can flat out say It's been ages since a restaurant delivered like this. The food obviously was great across the board -- the ingredients top notch, fresh, and high quality. We got 3 apps, and 2 mains, and each was a great portion and delicious. Bless the team and what you're doing. I'm sad that it was my first time, but it won't be my last.
