Steve's Tea Company & Tea Room

I took my mom for Afternoon Tea for her birthday and we had a lovely time. I genuinely have no idea how anyone would give this place less than 5 stars, let alone the 1 star reviews. Everything was perfect.

Before our reservation, I had emailed with a question and got a quick, helpful response. I had to change our reservation a few times with no difficulty from either the booking system or the staff.

The place itself was beautiful. The tea selection was impressive. I loved that we got to pick our own teacups too. Our tea and food were delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel like part of their family. I'm looking forward to going again.

A lovely tea today. Enjoyed the sticky pudding, a treat. The selection of tea was vast. Lana and Deb were very helpful as I selected my tea, and Lana nicely took some pictures so we can remember our afternoon out.

We had a very enjoyable and delicious High Tea at Steve's in remembrance of my sister. I buy my loose tea there and a while ago a friend invited me for the high tea. I thoroughly enjoyed it which is why I booked this event. It offers a very pleasant atmosphere with very charming staff. Steve popped in, even though he was supposed to be off and guided us through our tea selections making recommendations to 3 novices in our little group and I even discovered a new Earl Grey I hadn't tried. Would definitely recommend this experience and will certainly do it again.

My son in law bought an afternoon tea for all of the women in our family. It was a wonderful experience, from choosing our individual teas, choosing our own tea cups, to an incredible selection of sandwiches, scones and delicious desserts. The owners were super helpful and courteous. We had an amazing afternoon and will definitely be back!

I booked online for Mother’s Day and unfortunately somehow my booking was lost and it was disappointing, but the owner very promptly found the booking and offered us a space the next day with a full refund. She was so nice and apologetic and the experience ended up being quite lovely! It is a very nice atmosphere, great tea (huge amount of choices!!) they even have little holders with tea lights to keep the pot warm! So cute! the food was great! My mom loved the sticky toffee pudding. The owner took a tech mistake that could have been a souring experience and made it beyond right. I would def go back. Thank you for everything!

If I could give this place less than zero stars, I would!! Just terrible - DO NOT GO! Very stale, dry, old and disgusting food (almost inedible) trying to pass off as a high-end tearoom - not even close! Seating is all in one room and very tightly packed in, even with reservations. Employee are so rude, wouldn’t supply hot water to top up the tea pot - said they “ran out” (!!)…..but only until the next tables were seated - they just wanted to rush us out and take more guests! Ridiculous, rude, and cheap! DO BETTER because you have no idea how real tea rooms (or any restaurants) are run! We had heartburn after eating there, and we left half of the food as we were concerned since it obviously wasn’t fresh. The Kool Aid that was passed off as a sparkling seltzer was a JOKE - it tasted awful and was flat and warm (yuck!). Again, you need to do better for your customers - this.was an awful experience!

The tea and the quiche were excellent! I would skip the butternut squash soup and the scones were just okay.

I visited the retail shop yesterday and received outstanding service. With the huge selection of teas, I was in heaven! Shoutout to the helpful gentleman for sharing lots of information and being patient as my Mom and I made our picks. So far I've had the Jamaican chai, Darjeeling cream earl grey, and caramel cherry cheesecake teas (yes, in just a span of 24 hours). The quality is phenomenal.

Wishing Steve strength as he continues his fight battling cancer. My Aunt passed away last week from endometrial cancer and his story hits close to home.

This is my favorite place for meeting friends to have a chat and catch up! The teas are outstanding and the choices amazing. The ambiance is lovely and the staff is caring, friendly and helpful. I recently attended with a friend and her 6 year old daughter who was greeted like royalty and made to feel very special. Just a special place.

stopped in today with my elderly mom and enjoyed delicious scones and a pot of tea. Wow, wonderful service to top it off ! A hidden gem in Brantford !

Cannot say enough about this lovely shop and Tea room! It is now so close to my home that I can easily keep my tea collection restocked. The new location is larger and absolutely gorgeous. Have had lunch there several times now and adore their grilled cheese sandwich. Home cooking at its finest. Careful when you are checking out the cheesecakes though as you will want them all! Simply delicious. I plan to visit often and work my way through all my favourite tea selections. This week I’m returning to buy my Advent calendar. They are almost sold out. Highly recommend them. Thanks for holding it for me Lana. Well done Steve, Lana and staff. You are all amazing!! ?
