I ordered a grilled cheese and homefries. The meal was good however the cheese was too sharp for the cheddar on my sandwich. I did not like it at all and the gritty feeling of the taste of the sharp cheddar cheese, it was not pleasing at all. I definitely come by again and have a quick lunch, unfortunately I will not order the grilled cheese unless i see, the cheese was changed. I know that it is just cheese, but no that type of cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich.

I called to place a takeout order and the server who answered, Cassandra (visible tattoos), refused to take the order over the phone because she did not know how to process payment. This is a restaurant — taking orders and payments is a basic part of the job. When I tried to clarify how to pay, instead of asking for help or finding a solution, she became argumentative and defensive. Because of the confusion, the order was also taken incorrectly.
I then spoke with the manager over the phone, Sumith, and unfortunately the response was also dismissive rather than helpful. Like it was okay for an employee to not know how to process a payment. A manager should help resolve situations, not add to them.
This location seriously needs better training and leadership for our server Cassandra. What should have been a simple takeout order turned into an unnecessary confrontation. I’m posting this so others are aware of my experience and so Sunset Grill addresses the customer service issues at this location.
Cassandra was also threatening to call the police over a standard customer interaction is extremely concerning and suggests a serious need for training in communication and professional conduct.

Sunset grill food is something I really like. But the dine experience is so different. The place is so congested that you can’t move around without the fear of knocking on something. I had a feeling that it might be just one location but whichever ones that I have been to is all the same. Dine in experience I would rate it zero.

Haven’t been in over a year and decided to stop in for breakfast. It wasn’t very busy. Ordered a standard breakfast and waited 50 minutes before the food arrived. Food was alright, portions were fine. The waitresses were very friendly. Cooks showed no sense of urgency but the waitresses were great. I probably won’t be back for a while I know this is some people’s favourite place to come but just isn’t for me.

Wanted something warm and yummy between games at a nearby ball tourney and found sunset! Emma welcomed a large group with, sit where you like and we'll figure it out! That is a welcome difference from wait at the door until we are prepared to greet you attitude of other spots we go to. Coffee and juice arrived quickly. Food was as ordered, hot and perfectly cooked. Keep up the great service Emma.

Probably the least favourite Sunset grill of mine. Nothing bad with the people or the food! Just that the restaurant seems too cramped!

Great choice for the odd occasion. Try it at least once before you write it off. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, With all the somewhat uncomfortable wooden furniture, It is quite loud when it's busy. I felt like I had to yell across the table to talk to my dinner guests. Otherwise, great menu with reasonably priced options.

Food was amazing and large portions. Service was exceptional even though it was extremey busy. The waitresses were also helping each other out so good work environment translates to good service. Highly reccomend.
