I have been client for years now, the fish and chips have always been tasty and fresh. The service is nice and fast. My family and I enjoy very much either dine in (plenty of space) or pick up.

So I've been going to this place for quite a while now since before the owners changed because I really enjoy the cod and chips that they serve here. Very good fish. Not too much batter around it and it tastes really good. So today I thought I would try their donaires since they're advertising and East coast Donaire, I used to live out west and had donaires all the time so I figured I'd compare and see if it tastes as good as the ones I used to have out in Edmonton,
I'll start off by saying definitely get the small. That's what I got in the picture as I'm not sure how big the large is but the small was definitely big enough for me. Meat was pretty good. Cut a little thick but not bad. Taste was good on the meat. The donair sauce I found little too sweet. I don't remember Donaire sauce being that sweet, but if I had to change anything it would be the sauce just unsweetened it a bit. Other than that, pretty good

I don’t like cooked fish, the last time I had fish and chips was almost two decades ago on vacation; it’s not something I choose to eat, but for some odd reason I suddenly had a craving for it and looked on UberEats for a place. These guys had BOGO on a piece of fish and a side. I had fries and “turtles” as a side.
The fish was delicious, light and crispy and served the old fashioned way: rolled in a piece of wax and packing paper. It was honestly really nice to see that instead of styrofoam. It was very filling, good ratio of breading to fish. I don’t know what kind of fish it was but it wasn’t overpowering (I find cooked fish super fishy) and I enjoyed it overall.
The turtles were so good, I would order them over the fires the next time. Fries I left for a late night snack, tossed in the air fryer and splashed with malt vinegar I asked for on the side. I love real fries, I love seeing the potato they came from when they are served, very tasty.
Overall delicious food, great price and I would absolutely order again.

Never been sicker! Up all night after having fish and chips from the Lighthouse. Very small portions of (undercooked) fish, & poutines. This was our second attempt after being let down before I will never order from here again.

Inaccurate online pricing, slow and rude service. Clearly doesn’t like their job and they take it out on the customer. Food was mid but the service and the wait made the experience worst. I will not be returning or recommending this to anyone.

Excellent halibut and real potatoe fries cooked just right. Highly recommend!
I am so glad I found The Lighthouse. The quality of fish is excellent. So tasty and fresh. This is definitely the only place I will ever eat fish and chips in Brantford.
Service is also friendly and efficient as well! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The staff don't wear proper food prep gloves while handling raw and cooked food. They have staff walking around in tank tops and no hair nets. I'm lucky I didn't get food poisoning. I'll never go here again. I guess some people can overlook these things but I can't. Plus they price gouge for holidays.
Ordered through Uber took an hour and a half . The coleslaw was just soggy cabbage no dressing. They sent 1 small tarter packet and 1 vinegar. Hardly any chips. Last time I order from there.
The fish batter was nice and crispy. Not too thick. Flavor was delicious.
