Gus and his staff hosted my 80th birthday celebration for my family and friends. The service and food were superb and the staff were unfailingly efficient and friendly. Occasionally Gus came by to check that things were going well. We have dined many times at the School House including our wedding and the reception that followed. We have never been disappointed. We intend to return many times.
We went here for our anniversary dinner and we will definitely be making it a tradition from now on. They are great at making you feel special. We had hosts, waiters, and the bartender tell us happy anniversary! The food was excellent, we both had the prime rib and it was perfectly done! Some of the best prime rib we have had in a very long time! The complimentary dessert was truly amazing and was the perfect pairing with a cappuccino.
Have been to this restaurant many a time over the years and usually the food is good. Unfortunately last night was not. Appetizers were fine and the service good. My wife ordered the shrimp and scallops medley, the shrimp was tough and over cooked,and the adductor muscle was not taken off the scallops . They did send out six different ones after pointing the error. My lamb came out as ordered, medium rare and tasty. My brother in law's was not the case, he ordered the lamb...
