Nice place but food was just OK not hot very pricey. We went in no one spoke to us we took a seat the server came and gave us water and extra napkins. She did ask if we wanted anything else to drink. We did not have any option but do the buffet, which was not a huge problem but I would have liked the option. In the end it cost 58.61 for two people at the buffet and only drank water. We will not being going there again.
Apparently, Canadian Chinese food is a little different than the U.S. version. I ordered Beef and Broccoli, but it didn't taste the same. Maybe in Canada they use less/no sesame oil or soy sauce? It just tasted like an odd gravy. And the fried rice was a bit overcooked. Otherwise, the waiter was very polite.
First time ordering from Golden Gate and I'm very pleased! I don't normally enjoy egg rolls, but actually liked the one I had from this restaurant. I ordered the General Tao's Chicken and it was excellent - the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. I will definitely be ordering again.
