Today, One Love Jamaican Restaurant in Brockville surprised us with incredible oxtail curry, FESTIVAL that reminded me of a similar snack we call “Vettucake” from back home Kerala , India and a taste of the chef’s amazing goat curry. Every bite had something special!

“We had a lovely family lunch here, with tasty sandwiches and pastries and lots of tea! I loved the cute tea pots with cosies, and really appreciated that they had gluten-free bread and scones! The owner was so lovely. We will absolutely be back!”

“As being an former employee of Executive Taxi in Brockville for 10 years, I have ventured into Jon’s Restaurant many times. I was never disappointed with the food or service. Very friendly family oriented restaurant. They are right across from Via Rail so I never had far to go to grab my eats as we have a Taxi Stand at Via. I highly recommend them to anyone traveling through or to Brockville.”

“I have never had anything that wasn't absolutely amazing, so fresh and delicious but even better than the food is the owner and staff, they greet everyone with the best smile and attitude. this little gem on King Street is absolutely a must. you will love the food and the people. this is my puppies deciding they are sharing my bacon maple scone.”

“Just had the most insanely tasty cup of coffee from Richard’s. These folks are truly amazing! Trudged in about an hour ago grumbling to Melissa that I’d been up since 04:30 and had heard a rumour they had caffeine. She laughed and prepared my usual large Americano. Then, as I left, she grinned and said she’d added a 3rd shot of espresso. I cracked it open while driving north and just about starting floating on air. Had to call in and tell her it was easily the best cup of coffee I’d had in over a year. Thought I’d share - cuz it’s now my ‘go to’ and might become yours, too. Cheers!”

“Foodwise, this was the best executed meal I’ve had in Brockville. My half-chicken, half-steak salad was generous and very tasty.

Other family members ordered the ribeye, chicken, and seafood pasta, and everyone was happy with their meals.

They had interesting decor, which reflects the owners’ love of Star Wars and classic movies. It gave the restaurant a lot of personality.

The one disappointment was that we were there to celebrate a birthday. I asked if they could do anything special, and unfortunately, they said no, not even a simple candle. I completely understand that they may be a small husband-and-wife operation with limited capacity for extras, but I felt even a small gesture like a candle would have made the celebration feel a little more special.

Overall, excellent food and a unique atmosphere, with just a little room for improvement when it comes to special-occasion touches.”

“The fudge is top quality and some of the best we have ever tasted.You can tell that the fudge is made with love, care and commitment. We loved the Maple and Chocolate Fudge and the Smoky Maple Syrup that she was selling from a local vendor. Joanne was so kind, friendly and generous and very customer-focused. We appreciated her sharing a few samples with us. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Brockville. Thank you Joanne!”

“George and his staff are exceptional and very attentive, the quality of the food is superb, and portion sizes are massive - so go hungry or be prepared for leftovers (which I personally love). For a smaller space they do a great job of getting folks seated as soon as possible - but it's a very popular spot with the locals (for good reason). Never disappoints 👍”

“I have been going to Halls Apple Market for a few years now. As with any store of this type, things can be a bit pricy. However, the people there are very friendly and helpful. The pies are excellent. I can’t really give it any kind of negative. I’ll be back.”

“This was our first visit to this restaurant today and I must say that I am very impressed. The food was very goods but what struck me the most was the service. We arrived as a group of 11 people and were quickly sat at a nice big table in a back room. The server was very friendly and helpful. The waitress took our order and in a very short time we were all served and enjoying our meals. Nice difference with another restaurant we frequent where someone could be done eating before everyone was served. Thumbs up, we will frequent this place again. Highly recommended.”

“I highly recommend this family owned, friendly (feels like home) local business I. Downtown Brockville. The home made soups are delicious. I tried the cheddar broccoli soup, so soothing for the soul with the famous curry chicken sandwich. Who would have thought it could be so mouth watering delicious 😋 My daughter had the egg salad and has also had the tuna. Both scored delicious. The atmosphere is so friendly and feels like home. I had the pleasure to witness a frequent customer, coming back and bringing a pack of diapers for one of the employees new baby. Paying it forward! How kind is that! The show friends vibe at its finest! Don’t forget to purchase some of those homemade soups for take home. They are

“Swiss Chalet Brockville recently catered our wedding of just about 60 people. They are owed major kudos!! We are so impressed and pleased on the service we received beginning to end. From the customer service to order accuracy, prompt delivery, portion sizes and the price!?! We honestly felt like we stole it! ALL positive comments from the guests! They were pleased to have the option for seconds! A few said they’ve previously left a wedding early because they were still hungry, but that was not the case! We worked alongside Jonny, he made sure everything ran incredibly smooth, We didn’t have one single issue! He Took the time to get us everything we needed for the day, personally took care of preparation! What owner does the dirty work?? Jonny & Linda know how to run a business- going above and beyond for their customers, not very common these days! We don’t want to forget the a great team behind them!! “We used Harps BBQ for our wedding and they turned out to be my easiest vendor! They were so responsive and gave great advice on how to pick the menu. They were totally self sufficient setting up, packing down and we didn't even notice. The food was amazing and everyone is still talking about it. A must book!”

Why was watching 3 4 people walking into the store get their food and come out no problem but I’m sitting there waiting so here’s just to say that if somebody was getting a chicken burger or chicken strips or something like that, it’s gonna take 10 minutes. Tell him to move up ahead so we can serve the next person done better than having to eat your burger on the way to work wasting your whole lunchtime Do better”
