We visited this restaurant twice — once in summer 2024, which was an amazing 5-star experience, and again in fall 2025, which unfortunately turned into a 1-star visit. We ordered the same dinner for four, but this time almost every dish was disappointing.
The flavors were unbalanced and lacked proper seasoning. The chicken in both the meatballs and the General Tao’s chicken seemed pre-cooked rather than freshly made. The wonton soup was still very good, and the spring roll was decent, but the fried rice was quite plain and uninspiring.
It’s a shame, because our first visit left such a great impression. Sadly, after this recent experience, I don’t plan to return.

I love this place. I only go once every couple of months. With price of fast food going up as much as it has Chinese is not as expensive as people say. Unlike fast food joints I'm always satisfied after eating my take out from Island Delight. Also I don't need any apps to order from them. Pick what you want off the website and call, no points BS, emails from them and no apps. Thank you being so good and consistent.

Usually a relatively good place to get takeout. Not sure what happened tonight, but it was the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. While the service was pleasant, the taste was subpar and the dish was made completely inedible by the gritty texture. It was as though a spoonful of sand had been added. Will be a while before I order from here again.

Parking: Parking is normally full on the streets so you have to park a few blocks away if you’re dining in or having take out. Which can be a huge inconvenience.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps to get up to the restaurant and no wheelchair accessible ramp. Although there are only 2 steps if you are a cane user.

We ordered here for the first time last night and we will definitely do so again! We ordered the pork egg foo young, egg rolls, Cantonese chow mein, beef with mixed veg and sweet & sour chicken balls. Everything was absolutely delicious! The chicken balls are clearly in-house made and were so crispy and tender. We all had second helpings for dinner as it was just too good!

Food is probably the best Chinese food I’ve had hands down and I’m an extremely harsh critic as this is my favourite type of food. Authentic taste, true quality and heart here. S&S Chicken Balls, Beef & Broccoli, Wonton Soup & Chicken Chow Mein have NEVER DISAPPOINTED ME. This place is a hidden gem, a true Diamond in the rough small city of brockville if you can even call it that. Don’t hesitate to eat here. BEST CHINESE FOOD! The atmosphere is a bit dated but it just throws you back into a historical time period that’s no longer around. The wall art is fantastic and their fish tank is incredible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
