One of my absolute FAV restaurants! The restaurant is intimate, quiet and romantic. It's in a historic building (the grist mill) in the popular and touristy downtown area. I'll start with the food: I almost ALWAYS go for the chefs special. More specifically - the fish special. I've had trout, artic char, sea bass and salmon. EVERY SINGLE TIME they have been cooked to perfection and the fish melts in your mouth. My husband loves the prime rib and gets it whenever it's being offered. Other favorites are the crab cakes, (they are a decent size and you get two) baked Brie, and the escargot . They also give you unlimited fresh baked bread! Service is always impeccable as well. The owner Lynn treats you like a friend and remembers us every time we visit. We often get Tarek and he's been at the mill for over 20 years - so he's very knowledgeable on the menu and gives wonderful recommendations and wine pairings. As a local - if you want to know where we love to eat - this is it!

Came here with family a few weeks ago and my husband and I are still talking about how fantastic it was. The atmosphere of this place is beautiful. It is warm and very inviting. The presentation was superb, and food cooked to perfection. ( Rib eye steak was delicious!) The service was very professional and they made you feel right at home. Big thank you to the Chef . We look forward to our next meal at the Mill!

We went for dinner prior to attending a show and the experience was so pleasant. First of all, Cindy, our waitress asked if we were going to the show and when we told her we were she assured us that she would get our orders and food quickly so we wouldn’t be late and she did just that. She worked alongside Lynn and Territ( I hope I didn’t do too much damage to your name), who were also very efficient and friendly. The food was amazing and I just can’t say enough about this restaurant. We will definitely be going back and if you haven’t been, you need to get your shoes on right now ( oh maybe not right now- it’s closed for the evening - but tomorrow), and get over there. You won’t regret it!

My mother is one tough customer and she LOVES this place. The food is great, and they treat her like such a queen when she comes. The restaurant is charming and has one of the best-walk-ups (you get to go over a small little cliff right over a stream). This is a restaurant that has been there since I was in high school, back in the 90's and has stood the test of time.

My husband and I ordered the prime rib dinner, cooked perfectly to temp, the salmon, and the spaghetti and meat sauce from the kid's menu for our daughter. The portions were huge, and the dinner - even ordered as take out - was one of the top 10 meals of my life. I've been working in the restaurant industry in a New England tourist town for years, and I would not only highly recommend the Mill, but will travel back to the area just to come for dinner!
