Wendy at Cobs bread is amazing! She is knowledgeable when it comes to their products. She was able to answer all of my questions and it seems like she truly cares and loves her job. We need more employees like Wendy who treat their customers with respect and that take genuine interest in their workplace.

This is my go to cobs location. But the incident that I recently had was outright racist. Walked in June 8th 2:14 PM. While I stood in the queue one of their employee(male) at the counter calls me out are you here for the Uber. I kept my cool just said nope here to order. Although I felt really awkward in that situation seeing other people were there too and he specifically asked me. To top it off he wasn’t even sorry about it and acted like nothing happened. Now I don’t blame this kid it’s bad parenting or lack of training that might’ve caused this. I hope they train this specific person so it doesn’t happen with anyone else. EDIT: Spoke with Megan. Megan mentioned that she discussed with all the employees about this incident and made sure that this will never happen again and they’re gonna make sure to include these type of things in the training.

If you are looking for any type of Bread / Pastry. Cobbs should be where you look first! Not only is there food excellent, but their staff (Wendy in particular) are SO helpful and knowledgeable. Wendy was just so lovely, so kind and helped me (an newer to Cobbs customer) find just what I needed. Seriously! I really enjoyed my experience and will return again! .. I’m extremely upset and disappointed, Worst place I’ve been in brooklin. Staff was not friendly and in my opinion malicious.
Their bread and scones are great. However, PLEASE have your staff wear gloves when handling the food like all the other COBS locations I've been to in Durham. Can this location mandate and enforce this? I strongly feel the use of gloves is important for sanitary purposes. At this location, I have observed on numerous occasions, the employees using a thin small square of parchment paper, which isn't big enough to ensure none of their fingers touch the bread/scone.... And it's for this reason I no longer visit this location.
