I have come to this place for years whenever in area. Have always been a fan. This year, our meal was sub par. It is not as good as it used to be!!!! The spicy chicken for example, found chunks with hard chicken pieces of it and found ginger beef was chewy and neither used to be like that.
Is there new owners, if so you could learn from the old owners!

Food has gone downhill from previous years. Chicken balls are terrible. I don't normally order chicken balls. I honestly prefer just about anything else, but their prices have soared. You need a second mortgage to afford anything else!

Ordered take out for special family dinner. The food was expensive, and although the portions were generous the quality and taste was very disappointing. The chicken balls and spring rolls were soggy, not crispy and tasteless. The fried rice did not seem fried but steamed and tasted burnt. Ginger beef and beef and vegetables were ok, but considering we ordered extra chicken balls and fried rice the majority of the meal was very poor. Definitely won't be returning.

We had a family gathering at the Cody Inn. If you have never been here, their specialty is Chinese Food. The staff were great and service was wonderful. We ordered a number of dishes and the portions were huge, hot and delicious. Everyone had their fill, so we brought home some containers of leftovers. It is worth the drive up to Buckhorn.
Kid-friendliness: Our two year old granddaughter had a great time. She was allowed to walk around while she waited for her chicken fingers. The staff interacted with her and she loved the attention.

Very disappointed with the service of this restaurant. Went to the restaurant last Saturday for the first time. Being a local I have heard many good things about the restaurant, I thought I would give it a try. 3 of us went and we were lucky to get a table as it was very busy. Our waitress was very nice and accomodating and recommended some dishes to try. All 3 of us decided to try the combination dinners. My sister said she does not like deep fried yet the 2 meat choices were. The menu did not specify this. What was disappointing was we ordered 2 spring roll apps and only one app arrived but not before our dinner but during our dinner. My partner did not receive his meal at all. My sister went up and complained and the most senior experienced waitress who worked at the restaurant for over 24 years said infront of our waitress who has only worked there for one weekweek, that it was her fault because of the way she put the order in. The experienced waitress belittled the waitress infront of a customer which is not professional or nice. The young waitress was very upset. My sister told her she was not mad at her and that we would take the second order of spring rolls and the other dinner to go. My sister said we should not have to pay for the food that we took to go and the only compensation we received was 10% off. When I went to pay I did include a tip for our waitress as she is new and trying her best. The other waitress said that the waitress was new and it was her fault that this happened and next time we should order from her. Bad mouthing her again. Not impressed. We got home 5 minutes later, and my partner began eating his food and it was cold. Another disappointment. I called tbe restaurant and told the lady on the phone of our experience and told her we were upset and that I was going to write a google review and she totally understood why. Will we give it another try, not sure.

Food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious.i highy recommend any bbq pork dish and the spring rolls. Our server was attentive and helpful. The greeters were seemingly sizing us up when we walked in, with nary a smile to be seen. The dining room was too cold.

Friends recommended the Cody Inn to us. Buckhorn is a great little town to visit. We had wonton soup, rice and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. This was quality food from the cook. Pricing was affordable. Christine our server and the other patrons around us were very sociable. We had a great time. Thanks.
