I stopped in here for breakfast. I decided on bacon and eggs. It was ok. I asked for eggs over easy which they were. Bacon well done, well it was cooked but definitely not well done. The home fries were the real home fries which appeared good but some weren't fully cooked and hard in the middle. A few tweaks and and the meal could have been really good as the quality of the food of the ingredients were there. I wasn't offered a refill on my coffee, actually once my breakfast was delivered the waitress never returned until I was finished and brought my bill. The atmoshere was kind of rustic which I liked. Real wood tables, wood floors and also a few outdoor tables to use if the weather is nice. I may return another time as it could have just been a bad day. It wouldn't take a lot to go from 3 stars to 4 or 5.

My wife ordered a Cesar salad with her “award winning chilli dog” which was not award winning anywhere she got sweet potato fries instead, no explanation at all I had corned beef on a onion bun , meat was dry over cooked and coleslaw was terrible. I am wondering how this place is still in business, probably because they have no competition

Service was great fast and professional. Had the Chilli and it was awesome. My dad had the open faced Roast beef and it was perfect. Thank you for making our meal great and day. I’ll be coming back.

As a local we try and support the restaurants in Buckhorn. Our last visit to the Ice House we sat down outside at 6:30 as they were supposed to be open until 8:00 pm and I believe it was the owner came flying out the door and said “nope we can’t serve you, we only have one person on and have a private party of 18 inside.” We actually have watched her do this a month before to several other couples, some that we heard say they will never come back as they walked away. The owner needs to learn how to run a restaurant successfully with proper staffing and a better attitude to customers who have supported them in summer and winter. Very disappointed in her attitude and we will now support her competition instead as I know others will too.

We stopped for dinner. But the owner and staff seemed put out. We like to sit at the bar. Totally uncomfortable as bar is standing height. I’m just going to say that @gordanramsey would have a field day here! Whole place is a train wreck
Pickerel was full of bones. Inedible. Cups were either broken or dirty.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great place to stop for lunch or dinner whether you are cruising through with work or pleasure. I highly recommend ICE HOUSE as I felt like I was visiting with friends/family rather than just a restaurant. Kyla is amazing!!!
