Food was pretty decent accept the bacon was served with white fatty uncooked portions which was a turn off. We could have asked to have it crisped up, but didn't bother. The service was an issue. We were never asked once if we wanted our coffees topped up, which was $2.99 for one tiny mug which is insane. Wasn't told there was extra charge for rye bread which was ordered. There were no condiments (ketchup) on the table, and we were short utensils. Not bad food, but very disappointing service.

Probably the worst customer service experience we’ve ever received in Canada. The blond lady (cashier) is a joke. Don’t think she’s been professionally trained to work in hospitality. We ordered a takeout. 2 sandwiches cost $40. The food is tasteless. She didn’t give us any napkins or cutlery. Mind you, there is a 15% mandatory fee on top of your bill. People, please be aware of this restaurant. There are hidden fees and you will not be told until after you placed the order. Did we also mention racial profiling? Don’t think they will treat white customers the way we’ve been treated. Why? Because we are non-white obviously!! Ohh, the blond lady somehow ‘accidentally’ dropped the takeout order on the floor when we picked up in the restaurant. Very unpleasant and unprofessional!! Don’t recommend this place to anyone! Avoid at all costs!

I used to really enjoy coming here for their all day breakfast but it seems like the new owners have ditched that. They also used to leave a whole pot of coffee at the table! Buuuut that is also no more- you'll be lucky to get a refill once or twice. Such a shame since it was one of my favourite places over the years whenever I'd go and visit my cottage in the summer.

Initially, our family went to the restaurant across the street, “Main Street bar + grill” where their host/server was rude and snappy, and it was clear they were not happy a family of 14 wanted to get breakfast. It was 10:30am and they turned us away from breakfast, and said only lunch.
So, We went across the street and discovered the ice house! They were more than accommodating for our family of 14. Greeted with a pleasant server, who it was clear was a experiences and happy to be there.
They didn’t miss a beat! Everything was made fresh to order, great prices!
You MUST have the freshly made Jam!! It was just the best!

We had a large group of 14 and we came just before lunch however wanted breakfast. The restaurant was very accommodating, the server was very friendly and made sure all; including children were taken care of. They had a corn hole game out front which the kids played with until breakfast was served. The service was very quick and efficient, the jam was freshly made and delicious. The ham, bacon and sausage were much better than the standard restaurant meat. Absolutely 5 star breakfast location. Thank you!
