The gelato is not bad. Extremely overpriced with the small cup at $7.50. But, the attitude of the guy behind the counter is extremely rude and disappointing.

Your response speaks for itself. If you do not know the basics of customer service, you shouldn’t be doing business. I believe there are many others who share my opinion.

The lady was super nice that worked there. And they sold very delicous ice cream, I recommend the skor ice cream.

Not sure why the lady behind the counter was rude to my family and I. Overpriced doesn't warrent rudeness.

Update: Sure thing. My family and I came in. Lady worker was sitting and smiling with a group of customers at the table. Maybe she knew them, was a very lovely scene to walk into. Then, came behind the counter to fill our order. Was immediately annoyed with us. I left as I felt uncomfortable. My husband ordered. My family asked why the lady was upset and I had no idea. Ice cream was nothing special. I think the high cost equates to the high rent due to prime location. There is a direct correlation with poor customer service and the customers who complain. We need to be mindful when we are working in the customer service industries. Too much competition to be this rude.

The ice cream itself was delicious — creamy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. However, the overall experience came across as unwelcoming and a bit cold, which made the visit less enjoyable. A smile or friendly word would have gone a long way. Great product, but the vibe could use some warmth.

A hot day at Burlington waterfront calls for some gelato! Alia’s has a great selection of flavours to choose from. The price is quite steep compared to other gelato places like downtown Toronto, but luckily the taste didn’t disappoint.

I absolutely loved the Passionfruit sorbet! Not too sweet or sour, it’s perfect and I’m absolutely going back for more if I’m in the area.

The Bacio flavour is great as well with bits and pieces of hazelnuts and a big chocolate chunk that’s a combination of chocolate, hazelnut and crunchy crepe pieces. Quite unique.

This is the best place for gelato, from all of the places I have ever tried. If you're in Burlington, choose this spot- the others don't compare.

Simply devine. I tried the raspberry, it was amazing. Next time, I am aiming for mango gelato JT

Perfect chocolate chip cookie and iced coffee. Just a little pricey.

Visited around 3:15 PM today and was shocked by the way the staff treated me. The guy working there was extremely rude — absolutely no sense of customer service or professionalism. I felt like I was being treated like an inconvenience, not a customer.
Would never recommend this place to anyone. Completely unacceptable behavior!!!

Reply to the OWNERS RESPONSE:
First, when I arrived, the door was unlocked — which typically indicates a business is open or at least accessible. There were no signs clearly stating the store was closed, and no notice on the door about operating hours or private access. If it was indeed after hours, I completely understand the need for boundaries, but a polite explanation would have sufficed.

Secondly, I did not “sneak” into the store or “head straight into the back” as described. I looked around for assistance, as I didn’t see anyone up front. It’s unfortunate that my presence startled you, but jumping to accusations and responding in a rude and defensive tone is uncalled for — especially from a business owner. The way I was spoken to was inappropriate and unprofessional.

Whether open or closed, customer service and basic courtesy still go a long way — especially when representing a local business. I shared this review not out of spite, but to highlight an experience that could have been handled better.

Bought the pistachio and crème brûlée flavor, it was really nice and flavorful, the texture was very creamy and smooth, I will definitely try again when I visit Burlington!

Hands down the best gelato in downtown Burlington. Massive variety and everything I’ve tried so far did not disappoint. Very friendly owners. Triple chocolate, pistachio, mango, and coffee flavours were out of this world.
