Had to give them a one star today. Was so disappointed as this is my usual go to spot as a solo eater. Came in at 8:20pm and was told that they couldn’t serve me because they’re closing soon. Their hours on a Thursday go to 9pm. Totally understand if the valid reason was because the kitchen needed to wrap up, but their demeanor didn’t feel as warm as it usually was. Hours should be updated if it changed so not to disappoint.

AMAZING FOOD ALL I CAN SAY! We brought our newborn after her check-up and staff i think they owner husband and wife welcome us 👏🏻👏🏻 we had the kamjatang hot pot, me and wife finished all that and we got instructions from the husband how to handle properly the meal from eating it and disposal of bones, plenty selection of sides and get this, you can ask as much as you want as long as you can finish it! Atmosphere is amazing music not too loud me and wife can still have a nice conversation. Highly recommended this place when it comes to korean food. Good people too! 👌🤘

Food was tasty but quantity for the price and portion sizes seem smaller than usual. All the dishes come in what looks like smaller plastic containers that are both shallower and less longer and wider. With the prices bring charged, I was expecting it to be more generous.

This place is such a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and hospitality. It’s a true family-run restaurant where they put so much care into both the food and the service.
The dishes are absolutely delicious and taste just like a home-cooked Korean meal — full of flavor, generous portions, and made fresh. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
The owners are some of the kindest people you’ll meet. They check in on you, explain the menu if you’re new to Korean food, and always make you feel welcome like you’re part of their family. Even small touches — like refilling side dishes without you asking — show how much they care about your experience.
Whether you’re coming in for a comforting bowl of soup, crispy fried chicken, or a sizzling hot stone bibimbap, you’ll leave happy and full. I’ve been to many Korean restaurants in the city, but this one has the heart, quality, and authenticity that’s hard to find.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great people, and a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Service was horrible, the minute we sat down they brought us our menus right away but the man just hovered over us saying we need to order right now. It was our first time and we obviously needed a few minutes to look through the menu, but he kept saying “no you have to order right now” and stayed there.
We then ordered the fried chicken app (we were two people) but he was trying to say we ordered the full size / double the price. Luckily I confirmed. Even then he kept saying it’s already being made?
And then as soon as it turned 9pm they told us they would bring the bill which is not an issue, but then they told us to pack up our food and take it to go. I have never had a restaurant say that even when it’s around closing.
Food was decent but would not go back based on the terrible customer service.

Excellent food paired with quick, friendly service. We tried six different dishes, and every single one was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was very tasty! The portions were generous and the service was great! Our party of 4 adults and 4 kids(3 to 12 y.o.) had a great time. The locale was clean and fresh. Will definitely revisit when in the area.

Hidden gem alert! 😊
BAB Korean Food & BBQ is tucked into the Longo’s plaza at Walkers Line and Dundas, and it’s quickly become a favourite of mine. Their bibimbap arrives sizzling in a stone bowl, piled high with tender beef, crisp vegetables and perfectly seasoned rice, accompanied by tasty banchan (kimchi, fish cakes and a fresh cabbage salad). Every dish I’ve tried has been just as satisfying, and the warm, attentive service makes the experience even better. Prices are very reasonable, too.
I’d been meaning to visit for ages and ended up coming back twice in the same month—now I’m happily recommending it to friends and family. If you enjoy authentic Korean flavours in a relaxed setting, give this place a try!
