love love LOVE this place! the staff is so personable and every time I go they always make my experience EXCEPTIONAL. Not only that, the food is to die for! My boyfriend has allergy concerns and not all restaurants take this seriously, it was so refreshing when we told our server this and she made us feel like a #1 priority. So awesome here!!!!

It’s been 6 days since I left multiple messages for the manager to give me a call so we could discuss an issue - and still no call…I was told by the staff that she would call me yesterday and still nothing- at this point I don’t expect a call- which is why I’m leaving this review. We’ve been coming here for years- in fact I just deleted a 5 star review I had posted a couple of years ago. Last week we came with a group of 9 for dinner- shortly after 4 of us were sick. The next day I left a message for the manager to give me a call - I wanted to give them the heads up- the opportunity to check their food in hopes it doesn’t happen to other people. When I didn’t hear back a couple of days after I left another message- at that point someone emailed me back saying a manager will be in touch with me in two days. I’ve yet to hear from anyone. I tried to give them the opportunity to sort this out cause I absolutely hate it when people just write bad reviews without giving the business a chance to fix things. They clearly don’t care - I don’t know what else I’m supposed to do to help them/ they don’t want to be helped- they just lost years-long customers. So owners/managers reading this, when your business is down and you’re not making the sales you used to, don’t ask why.

Went in last night, although quite busy, managed to find a spot at the bar. The pizza, and tacos were very good- a must try. The bartender made nice cocktails for us- so overall had an amazing night at Barra Fion!

We felt we were a burden for her!!!We were escorted out once we spoke to manager to address the situation!!! We spend over $350!! In ending WE (3) felt we weren't heard or cared for & manager mis-managed the situation!!

Our server was very nice from start to finish. The food was mediocre. The side of saffron rice was terrible, the flavour was so bad I had to send it back. The octopus was very chewy and the flavour was not great either. Disappointed overall. But the chorizo and shrimp skewers were pretty good.

Last night my husband was craving churros, so I searched online and discovered a restaurant very close to us—one we’ve passed many times but had never noticed before. We originally planned to just order churros to take out, but the atmosphere, the almost full tables on a Thursday evening, and the wonderful aroma filling the air quickly changed our minds.
We decided to stay and order dinner as well. We had the traditional Paella and churros, and both were absolutely amazing! We’ll definitely come back soon to try the tapas and drinks.
The servers were so kind and friendly, too. Thank you for turning our spontaneous night into such a memorable experience! 🌟

Customer service at Barra Fion leaves a lot to be desired. The waiters rarely check on you, and they clear your table without asking if you're finished. As someone from Barcelona, I know what authentic paella should taste like, and unfortunately, theirs falls flat. They should be using proper paella rice to get the flavor right, but it’s a complete disaster—the dish is way too spicy, which isn’t true to traditional Spanish cuisine. Authentic paella uses spices like saffron, paprika, rosemary, and black pepper for flavor. For the best results, use a short-grain Spanish rice such as Bomba or Calasparra, as these absorb a lot of liquid and flavor without turning mushy, keeping a nice, firm texture. If you can't find those, Calrose rice can work, but you might need to tweak the liquid amounts. Other good options include Senia and Albufera rice, whereas Arborio and long-grain varieties aren’t really suitable. Please, do yourself a favor and make an authentic paella—it's worth it.

I went to barr Fionetonight for dinner. It was an amazing experience. I felt like I was back in Barcelona. The service was amazing. Our server was Chloe and she was more than accommodating to us. The food were so yummy. The portions were great. The different topics was so amazing. I would write a 10 out of 10 and will definitely come back there.

Wanted to have some Tacos, so I decided to head out to Barra Fion, which was a bit far from me but from the reviews I saw, I wanted to try it. I must say, the food is amazing. The chcicken tacos were very authentic, had just the right amount of spice. I also had there mushrooms, also amazing. A must try is there Anciano red wine- had an amazing date night! The atmosphere was good, and they always have live music every Friday- which I’ll go back for!

Really sad to say that this isn’t the place i grew up with anymore. Used to be my favourite intimate spot, now they’ve changed their portion sizes even smaller (2/3 now of what it used to be - what it used to be was already very small) and cut quality significantly. Prices stayed the same with less value, service was slow , each menu item was 30 minutes each to arrive and our empty dishes waited 20 minutes to be cleared off our table. The pizza size and change of crust was a prime example of increasing margins. I am so sorry but this experience will probably determine whether or not we return. Hope this review helps change the service and quality back to where it was.
