Shades of better times. Stopped on the way home from work and picked up some burgers and fries. I have passed this place for years and know that it was a Burlington institution. So I was disappointed when going how dirty and rundown it looked inside. Crossed fingers and hoped that the food was worth the hype. Sadly, it wasn't. The topping bar selection looked day old at best and questionable food handling while making our food made me wonder if we would be getting sick later.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is so satisfying. It may not look the best but it sure does taste the best. No other late night option in the area compares. The staff are very nice and polite. We come back over and over again. Love this place.

First time try this burger place The fries are good but the beef patty come very hot it burned my mouth and don’t taste or look like beef .

Burgers are good for a greasy spoon but the fries are like dried cardboard now. They used to be better a few years ago. At least the burgers are still pretty good.

The atmosphere is what it is - it’s a very old place that can be classified as a dive. The food is good and the burgers are delicious. They are messy! Fries are also tasty.
Parking has always been a problem. Does not really cater to dietary restrictions and the staff won’t know about it. Go there for a good late night burger!

The Staff at Charcoal Pit on Good Friday were incredible! They managed to handle so many orders there were people waiting outside to come in & still place their order & I can say they were bang on. The food as always is high quality & tastes incredible. Consistently they always impress.
