Our GO TO for 4 years now. I’m usually very picky but this is the most delicious Chinese food. I usually get the chicken/ Cantonese chow mein, beef broccoli and chicken wings … does not disappoint

Unfortunately we decided to try this place on new years eve. They warned us that it was going to be busy and orders would be delayed which was greatly appreciated as most places just take the orders and deal with the backlash. Our order was missing items and my wife had to go back to get them as the rest of the food got cold. It was a mixed ride eating half hot and half cold food at the same time. This likely makes my rating less than what it would have been, but rightfully so. I would like to try again when it's not the busiest night of the year to see what they got.

Honestly inedible. Takeout was cold by the time we got it home, a whole 1.6km away and was clearly just sitting out when we picked it up. Chicken was disgustingly dry, fried rice was basically rice with soya sauce and a few shredded carrots. The spring rolls had a tablespoon of filling and were just air, everything was soggy and had no flavour.

Save your money lol

Was working in the area and popped in for lunch, ordered the sweet and sour lunch special. It came out room temperature at best and the rice was soft and not seasoned. When I told the guy that the rice and chicken was cold he said “I just made it” I should’ve known when my lunch was “ready” in two minutes it was gonna be trash and it was! Never again

The worst yang chow fired rice I had. Rice was very very soft like almost congee. When I phoned back to complain about it and got the answer that it was japanese rice. Thats it.
P/s: bye bye china star.

Excellent service! Quick and friendly 😁
The food was actually a bit above acceptable lol which was surprising since I only dropped by because I ran out of random coupons for lunch. The fried rice was fresh and the general tao was alright. Definitely not the best but edible. Would actually return if I absolutely have nothing else to eat in the area.

Quick service, good food and cheap.

Only complaint: I got a single SUPER thin napkin, Takeaway cutlery is kind of cheap and hard to use as well.

Tried them for the first time and it was ok at best for the price we paid.

Great flavor and texture but they are so stingy with the protein portions! I paid $15 for this lunch plate which only had a few super thin slivers of beef and the rest was basically broccoli, onions, and rice. In the picture it may look a little more voluminous than I'm describing but I only got maybe 5 or 6 super small pieces before all that was left were carbs. I swear I ordered broccoli beef with a side of rice not the other way around lol. Only reasons I'm not rating 2 stars is because the place is very clean and the owners are nice. However not worth the price and I most likely won't return or recommend.

First time trying China Star on Chinese New Year’s Eve earlier this week and it was very good. I called and placed the order for pickup, no issues, ready in 15min and very reasonable prices, they have their menu in pdf format posted on their website.
I ordered crab meat rangoon, beef Cantonese chow mein, shrimp fried rice, and general Tso chicken, the total was around $50.
It’s worth noting that I initially tried ordering via Uber Eats for pickup and the total was around $70 before tip, so I would definitely recommend calling the store directly to place your takeout order.

Awesome service and food! We had a big order for Christmas Eve. Ordered a day ahead knowing it would be busy. Picked up the food, ready and on time, hot and ready to serve. Best Chinese food ever, highly recommend!
