Great food! We ordered at Christmas with our guests and everything was fresh and not greasy at all! Better cooking than the last owner! Thank you

This spot is a hidden gem. Takeout only. The food is ALWAYS good. It's consistent and delicious! TRY CHINA STAR BURLOAK!

10 years ago this was my go to, local, 'cheap' chinese food place. After moving away I was in the area again and decided to give my old favorite a try. While the prices are still reasonable the quality and amount of protein has shrunk a lot. the 'egg' rolls are weak, the crimped 'ends' are most of the 'roll' and they only contain bean sprouts/ I would suggest they re-name the dish 'bean sprout pouch.'They also forgot several items which were supposed to come with our order (no sauce for sweet and sour chicken... really... )

Food is great. General Tao's chicken is worth the stop. Only downside is that they can be a little skimpy on providing sauce packets. Kind of have to push for additional ones.

A hidden gem in Oakville. While staying in town for almost a week, we came here for many lunches. Their lunch specials are absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients. I honestly cannot get over how well-priced the meals are. Portions are perfect, and you don’t get that heavy feeling after eating at some restaurants. Top 2 dishes so far: Broccoli with beef and Szechuan chicken. You can also sub out the fried rice for steamed rice instead. Service is also always quick and friendly. All in all, I would highly recommend this place!

Decided to leave a review after my second visit.First visit I was hungry and had a hankering for fried dumplings. While I was there, I asked the cashier if they could make mapo tofu (one of my favourites). She enthusiastically replied that their chef could make a great mapo tofu... Made a mental note to give it a chance at some point. It feels like it has been several months since my dumpling visit. Anyway, I decided to try the mapo tofu. I wasn't disappointed. I have tried many and have been frequently disappointed by overseasoning, too much salt, too dark, too spicy, wrong texture, pork shredded and not minced. I was pleased to find that my taste for good mapo tofu was aligned with the chef at China Star. His mapo tofu was delicate, finely seasoned, not oily and generally very tasty.I haven't tried enough of their dishes but I will say I certainly enjoyed their mapo tofu and will definitely order it again. If you like mapo tofu, give it a try and see if our Stars align.
