This spot is my go-to for Caribbean cravings! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the vibrant colors and mouthwatering scents of the islands. Their roti is a real standout – packed with flavor and tender meat, it's just heavenly. And don't get me started on their doubles – pure perfection!I've been coming here since 2010, and it's always been a treat. What makes it special is the warm vibe and friendly staff who make you feel right at home.If you're in the mood for some authentic Caribbean eats, this place is a must-visit. Trust me, their roti and doubles will blow your mind – hands down the best I've ever had!

The West Indian Curry and Rotis here are all very good. Chicken was done well. Both the beef and the goat curry were also cooked perfectly, The Dhal puri are nice and moist, not dry like other places I've been.

I have probably tried almost every roti and doubles shop in GTA and must say not sure what recipe deh uzin fuh bara and channa but dat is definitely not doubles.Texture and flavour is some kinda spinoff food, sorry been to Trinidad numerous times so I know what real doubles taste like.Friendly staff, relatively clean place so no issues with that. Also $3.63 is kinda odd price for a doubles too, not worth the price.

Just tried this restaurant for the first time. Had doubles only to try, and I have to say they were the best doubles I've ever had, better than some of the more popular roti shops in mississauga and brampton. Can't wait to go back and try the goat roti and jerk

D Hot Shoppe in Burlington - hard to put it any better than the thousands of well-deserved accolades it has received here. I've been a customer for about 12 years or so. At my workplace nearby over the years I've seen it become one of the primary lunch options for most people in our office. I don't live in Burlington, but I'll still head over here on a day i'm not working, because eventually you start to crave the food here, and nothing else will do.If you're someone who's not sure about roti but have been curious to try it, this is the best possible place to go for your first one. The meat - whether it's the chicken, goat, beef, shrimp or cuttlefish - is all stewed perfectly and achieves that tender home cooked stew quality along with the potatoes and the sauce. The gravy on top makes it perfection. The bread is thin and isn't overfilling. The jerk chicken is also so full of flavour. The hot pepper sauce - as someone who tries every new hot sauce i see at the grocery store, there is so much more to the hot sauce that they use here than just heat, there is a rich and fresh pepper flavour that i haven't tasted anywhere else, and it mingles perfectly in their dishes. Try a dab of it even if you are a hot sauce wimp. I have not tried every side dish item, but I can say the doubles are outstanding and a must. I also enjoy the mashed pumpkin and the samosas on occasion. The staff - always so friendly, hard-working and attentive in what can seem to be a chaotic environment when it gets busy (can sometimes be hard to predict, but usually around lunch and before dinner, and on Fridays expect an extended lunch crowd that runs into dinnertime).

The quality of the food is genuinely unbelievable. I live in Brantford, but work in the area. I get d hot shoppe anytime I'm near it. I've tried every single roti closer to me and nothing compares. The beef roti is so tender, seasoned and spiced perfectly. They also have the best patties I've ever tried. An absolute gem of a restaurant.

Catered food for my daughters first birthday. We were shorted 2 jerk chicken legs which they refunded that's fine. The rice and peas, the goat curry, and the jerk chicken was absolutely disgusting. They separated the goat curry sauce and decided not to bother mentioning at all during pick up and when I placed the order. None of it had any taste what so ever it was completely bland. NONE of our guests ate the food past one bite and we felt very embarrassed and basically scammed. We had to throw it all out and order pizzas. Not a good experience. I wasted hundreds of dollars. I was hesitant to leave a bad review but decided it's best people know how bland this food is.The owner reached out to me and kept trying to blame me instead of taking any responsibility for his mistakes. He seemed very proud of his high star ratings on Google which if you look closely are 90% from accounts with single reviews... Basically fake ratings

Food was bland . Needed salt for sure . Most of the items were out of stock when I ordered. Portions are much smaller than they were years ago - but then again things got expensive.

Tried this restaurant and I was mildly disappointed. Got the large curry chicken roti and jerk chicken with rice and peas.Meat was super tender and juicy, roti was soft, but there was one problem. It was lacking flavour. It tasted very bland for me even though I could see the jerk seasoning. Most of the flavour came from the side curry that came with it and the random kick of medium spice from the chilis. But most bites were bland.Hopefully that was just a one off day. Willing to give them another try cause there was so much potential. Felt like chef forgot the salt on my order.
