When I want to treat myself, I head to the Danish Pastry House to pick up their cinnamon bun bread loaf. The next day, I turn it into my favorite French toast. Here’s how: mix one egg with some cream and vanilla, slice the bread, dip it in the mixture, fry it up, and serve with fresh berries and maple syrup. You’re welcome enjoy.
For a Dane this is surprisingly accurate and authentic. They even have the names in danish. Usually danish outside of Denmark are too big and the taste often very sweet but this could be back in the Viking country.
We stopped in to the Danish Pastry House this weekend for a few after dinner treats. Service was great, very helpful and patient. Lots of different pastries and cakes to choose from. Prices seemed fair compared to some similar pastries from the supermarket. Ended up getting 5 or 6 to try and overall were very good.
