I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years, but unfortunately, today I had the misfortune of witnessing an act of xenophobia committed by an Indian wai

This was my first visit to Demetres though I have lived in Ontario for 25 years now. We had the Pretty in Pink Belgian waffle and the Unbrûlévable Belgian waffle. So incredibly delicious! Definitely want to try everything on the menu now.

I gave this place a 5 stars and now will give it 0 star if I can. It’s not the first time they are missing items in my order. I asked for a French crepe for delivery. The crepe has ice cream in the description and picture but I didn’t get any ice cream. I know it’s a mistake again instead of “how it should be”. Train your staff to pack delivery properly! This is not the first time it has happened.
Elegant place, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

Our favorite dessert spot has earned a special place in our hearts—and for good reason. It's a little haven where sweet dreams turn into even sweeter realities, especially with their signature Belgian waffles. Each waffle emerges from the kitchen, golden-brown and perfectly crisp, promising a delightful crunch with every bite.
But the true magic happens when you team that delectable waffle with their velvety ice cream. The luscious creaminess dances on your palate, beautifully complementing the light, airy texture of the waffle. Whether it’s classic vanilla, dreamy white chocolate , or an adventurous strawberry, each scoop adds a blissful layer to this enchanting union.
This charming gem isn't just our go-to for a sweet treat; it's become our treasured spot for celebrations big and small. Birthdays, anniversaries, or just a Friday.
Every bite is a delicious reminder of the sweet moments that stitch our lives together.

I have been to this location many times with no issues. Went in tonight with my husband (Sept 29th 2024), it was not busy for a sunday night at 9:15 pm. We waited a while to be seated despite many tables open which was the first slight annoyance. We then got seated and when our waiter took our order we had asked if we could start with two ice waters and proceeded to order our dessert. Our dessert came within 10 minutes which was phenomenal, but we were essentially done our dessert by the next time our waiter had even seen us, then delivered water that was literally warm and tasted so gross. My husband ordered the splitsonian on a belgian waffle which was phenomenal with the honey vanilla ice cream. My dessert on the other hand was “Cake Day” on the crepe; the crepe was amazing, the ice cream wasn’t horrible, but the “strawberry cream sauce” tasted essentially like a melted down dollarama white chocolate easter bunny… that paired with the white chocolate buttons (which there was SO much on my serving) made the dish nauseating. I left majority of it on the plate because it was simply gross. $55 for terrible service, and one out of two decent desserts, we could’ve had a better date night getting ice cream from McDonalds :( I don’t think we will be back

We came her on my daughters birthday. We ask the staff to sing for her and they IGNORED as. I didn't understand why, they did it for the table behind us half an hour after that.
So disappointed, my daughter were upset as she expected to have this. The service in this place are going worth, I regret my earlier 5 start review.

Chamomile Citrus Tea was very calming. Big portions, the velvet cake was a bit dry but the ice cream made it all better.

The service was not the best the clerk did not attend well to my order I asked for a cream and she brought me water with lemon the people who prepare the orders do not have the cleaning at the same time they prepare the food with the phone in hand they do not wear gloves and talk on top of the food I think they should improve if they do not want to lose customers

This place used to be the best dessert spot +5 years ago with great staff, but for the past 3-5 visits, they only have 1 waitress during weekend hours. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes for your order. On top of that they usually hand out 1 dessert at a time for your party vs all at once so you're stuck waiting for everyone to receive their dessert while yours melts. Idk if this place has new management, but this place is not how it used to be.

My favourite. Always great service!
smells like beef
The short white woman (Julia) looked me dead in the eye and walked by as I said "excuse me" and during the bill she kept side-eyeing me. What did I do to deserve this? Terrible service.
