Fishing Sushi Burlington

Deceiving online ordering-prices online did not match what we were charged. Nowhere when ordering online for delivery does it say it’ll be through Uber which has additional fees including a tip based on our total amount which was an additional $11 + $4.99 service fee, + .99 delivery fee + the additional charge of $5 on one of our items. I called right away to cancel. They couldn’t find my order at all and told me to reorder…then 5 mins into discussing how to fix this they said my order was picked up by the driver during our conversation. Very disappointed with the lack of clarity and professionalism from both fishing sushi and Uber.

Don’t order delivery. They do not make it clear that they send an uber driver and you have to pay for the ride. The website is very deceptive.

I placed the order today with amount of 117.97 in total (receipt below) and paid cash for 10% discount. So I was supposed to pay 106.17(after the 10% discount) but the cashier told me 107.35, I showed the math to him and he said he put the 10% off and the system showed him 107.35. Clearly the system is wrong. Please do the math and tell me if I’m wrong. I did not want to waste my time to argue with you over a loonie and few pennies but when you are doing business you have to be honest and the info you give to the customer has to be accurate as well.

I’m revising my review I left approximately 2 months prior….. that was my first experience and it was good! But tonight changed my mind 100%! We ordered 2 large trays of sushi, sashimi and maki rolls and all of them were of lower quality than any all you can eat sushi restaurant I’ve ever gone too! We had to throw the spicy salmon out (and I returned what we couldn’t eat to the store) it was so fishy and not fresh. The rolls and rice under the fish all fell apart and was old and stale. When I went back they couldn’t explain why but offered a gift card or credit but I declined. Why would I ever want to eat there again even if it was free?! It wasn’t about complaining to get something free…. It was to make them aware of how poor their product is. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place….. there’s a place on plains road that’s light years ahead if you want take out and if it’s a restaurant you want there are soooo many better options.

Food is great. What is not is the service and wait time. This is now the second time this has happened. And I wasn’t the only one who was waiting and frustrated. Ordered around 5:55 pm., directly not through Uber or Skip. They said ready in 20 minutes. So I went there around 6:20-6:25 to give them a bit more time in case. I Didn’t get my food until 7:15. I was ignored when I got there. Had to call someone over to ask about my order and I had to continue to ask multiple times on my order. All this while I saw skip and uber orders go out one after another. I paid cash to save them any fees which I thought would get priority as this is/was our local place. Clearly cash doesn’t get you anything and having to pay skip or uber is more lucrative. I guess I’ll just order from them since they are priority. There was also little communication that goes on. People would walk in and no one person would say a word to the customers or come to the front to help. They may be short staffed but there should always be one person at the counter greeting customers. Again, this now the second time it has happened and multiple customers were getting angry.

Sushi - amazing. Service. Awful. There are too many other other sushi places around that are just as good. Either have a better more reasonable turn around time or don’t accept so many orders if you can let handle the volume. I also wasn’t offered anything for the 1.15 minutes wait time. Terrible service.

Ordered sushi Thursday November 14th 2024. Ordered online and went In to pick it up. I order from here pretty frequently. I have never had any issues and food always tastes delicious. We Ordered a create your own platter. Got 90% thru eating it to find a piece of plastic wrapped into a roll. I would add photos of the plastic but Google isn't allowing me to add photos to my post.

Ordered a party tray. majority of sashimi, sushi swapped with fake crab meat, instead of real fish. Too much crab meat. Fish tastes old too. Disappointed will not order again.

This is my go to for takeout sushi. Great quality for the price and they have a nice selection. I'd avoid the deep fried options as they're ok but nothing special but absolutely try the fishing roll. Their online ordering is a bit confusing.

Ordered food for delivery and they sent me raw dimsum! This is unacceptable. Been purchasing from them for over a year and the food quality of this place has gone down. This is my last time and I recommend you think twice.

Great spot to pick up a sushi platter for a party as it’s a crowd pleaser. Workers are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Overall packaging was clean and made easy for transportation. Presentation of the platter is nice on the eyes and was not crammed.

The sushi itself is FRESH and had no fishy odour. The avocado was green and ripped. It was tightly rolled and did not fall apart. I always look forward to sushi at fishing sushi at parties. Overall above par quality for takeout. Would return and recommend!

First time here and had the 'turbo' sashimi platter. It was very good, with a nice selection of seafood that was all fresh and very tasty, and well presented.
The soya sauce and pickled ginger was different than the usual sushi joint but in a good way, and the wasabi was very fresh.
The Miso soup was just OK, and it seemed like it got much less love from the chef as compared to the rest of the meal.
Overall I felt it was good value and tasty food, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, or try again!

We got a take out from fishing sushi not too long ago . It was pretty seem-less - it was an online order
I was not really sure what to expect from an online order - it was ready when we specified with the option we wanted - and we did call to change an online order initially put thru and they were pretty accommodating.
Really am happy with what we got and it was super fresh and delish. We also had Miso soup.
Would definitely go again !!
